Evil Genius Beer Company Teams Up with Sheetz for Limited Edition Vanilla Cappuccino Beer

Sheetz, a major Mid-Atlantic restaurant and convenience chain, announced the release of a new, limited-edition vanilla cappuccino craft beer dubbed ‘Project Vanilla Shteam Machine.’ The second craft beer brewed in partnership with Evil Genius Beer Company, the beer will go on sale at 4:00pm on Friday, September 3rd and will be available at 58 Sheetz stores across Pennsylvania. The beer will also be available in Philadelphia at The Lab at Evil Genius Beer Company in Fishtown, at 1727 N Front St, Philadelphia, PA 19122. Additionally, a limited number of cases will be available for sale at upcoming Evil Genius Beer Company 10th Anniversary events, including the Evil Genius Beer Food Truck Festival on September 9th, the Eagles Tailgate Block Party on September 12th, Evil Genius Beer Company's 10th Anniversary Party on September 25th and Under the El Bazaar on September 30th.

Ardmore Oktoberfest Returns with Picnic in the Plaza with Music, Beer and BBQ

Prost! Ardmore Initiative presents the 11th Annual Ardmore Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with a Picnic in the Plaza! Schauffele Plaza (adjacent to Tired Hands Fermentaria) will again be filled with live music, food and music, plus beer garden-style reserved seating. Tired Hands Brewing Company and Levante Brewing will offer several beer selections that include local and seasonal favorites. Sophie’s BBQ will come prepped with a portable smoker to churn out their popular pulled pork and brisket sandwiches and Jack McShea’s will serve German-inspired fare like bratwurst, homemade Bavarian pretzels, and more. Live music and delicious desserts will round out the early evening fun. VIP advance table reservations are $85 per party that includes a dedicated table for three hours for four to eight guests, plus the first four beers to start the night.

Philly's Sushi Whisperer Kevin Yanaga Debuts Izakaya by Yanaga in Fishtown

Glu Hospitality and Philly's Sushi Whisperer Kevin Yanaga announce the opening of Izakaya by Yanaga in Fishtown at 1832 Frankford Avenue. Yanaga brings over 10 years of experience in the the top sushi restaurants in the region, including at Izakaya at Borgata, Double Knot, Pod, Morimoto and Zama. After working with Stephen Starr, Michael Schulson and some of the biggest names in the business, Yanaga will now open his very first restaurant as Executive Chef and Partner. For his first outing, Yanaga will debut two concepts under one roof. Izakaya by Yanaga will open first just in time for fall dining season, followed by chef's tasting room Omakase by Yanaga in late fall. Izakaya will open for a Labor Day Weekend preview on Thursday, September 2 to Saturday, September 4, 2021, from 5:00pm to 10:00pm nightly.

Kurry Shack Takes Over Philly with 3 New Locations in Rittenhouse, Old City and Francisville

Restaurateur Shafi Gaffar announces the grand opening of three new restaurants that will bring his brand of homestyle Indian to each corner of the city. Kurry Shack will expand across Philadelphia with new locations opening on Friday, August 27th in Old City (6 N. 3rd Street), Rittenhouse (2101 Chestnut Street) and Francisville (1839 Poplar Street). All three locations will offer pick-up, take-out, delivery and dine-in. The Brewerytown location has the largest dining room and outdoor seating footprint, with seating for up to 60 guests at one time. The original proof of concept location at 2015 E. Moyamensing Avenue is also now fully opened with expanded hours, indoor and outdoor dining, take-out and delivery.

Glu Hospitality Debuts Leda and The Swan Popup Cocktail Garden in Northern Liberties

Glu Hospitality presents a limited-edition end-of-summer experience with the grand opening of Leda and The Swan Pop-up Cocktail Garden at 1033 N. 2nd Street, running from Saturday, August 21 to Sunday, September 5, 2021. The new al fresco cocktail and music hideaway will pop-up outside of the former home of Wahlburgers, next to the Piazza and across from El Camino and SET No Libs. This outdoor space come September will be part of one of the city's largest openings of the year when Glu will debut two side-by-side restaurant concepts Figo Ristorante and Figo Pizzeria. While partners Derek Gibbons and Tim Lu put the finishing touches on the new restaurants, they wanted to activate the gorgeous outdoor patio and covered bar with a cocktail garden featuring the best of Leda and The Swan's carefully curated menu that was designed by well-known cocktail veterans Ryan Fenton and Zach Kessler.

Laura Fay, co-founder of Separatist Beer Project, announces the grand opening of a brand-new all-in-one coffee shop and e-bike store coming to the Main Line starting this weekend. Up to Eleven is a unique all-in-one hybrid that brings together the best of both worlds for coffee and cycling lovers. The new concept will showcase three big partners, including bagels from Kismet Bagels, coffee from Reanimator Coffee, and e-bikes by Specialized.
