Kurry Shack Takes Over Philly with 3 New Locations in Rittenhouse, Old City and Francisville

Restaurateur Shafi Gaffar announces the grand opening of three new restaurants that will bring his brand of homestyle Indian to each corner of the city. Kurry Shack will expand across Philadelphia with new locations opening on Friday, August 27th in Old City (6 N. 3rd Street), Rittenhouse (2101 Chestnut Street) and Francisville (1839 Poplar Street). All three locations will offer pick-up, take-out, delivery and dine-in. The Brewerytown location has the largest dining room and outdoor seating footprint, with seating for up to 60 guests at one time. The original proof of concept location at 2015 E. Moyamensing Avenue is also now fully opened with expanded hours, indoor and outdoor dining, take-out and delivery.

Festivities will kick-off on Small Business Saturday with the debut of a brand-new holiday tradition, Old City's Window Decorating Contest at 16+ small businesses located around the historic streets of Old City. For those shopping for everyone on Santa's lists, look for Small Business Saturday deals at retailers and boutiques throughout the neighborhood. On Sunday, November 29th, support your local non-profit museums by shopping during Museum Store Sunday at Independence Seaport Museum, National Constitution Center and the National Museum of American Jewish History.

Nick's Bar and Grille Launches New Weekend Brunch In Old City District Philadelphia

Nick's Bar and Grille (16 S. 2nd Street) announces the debut of their first-ever brunch service, launching this coming weekend. Every Saturday and Sunday, from 11:00am to 3:00pm, the Old City staple will serve up brunch favorites that use their new in-house smoked meats, their signature ground bacon and beef burgers and other variations on popular Philadelphia flavors. As a compliment to the new brunch menu, customers can make it a boozy Sunday by building their own bloody marys for only $6.00.
