2nd Street Fest Takes Over Northern Liberties with 250 Food Trucks, Vendors, Bands

Philadelphia's largest neighborhood summer festival is back and bigger than ever! The Northern Liberties Arts & Commerce Alliance announces the 16th Annual 2nd Street Festival on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 12:00pm Noon to 10:00pm. Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday with 250+ restaurants, food trucks, beer gardens, family fun, live music, artists, pop-up shops and entertainment. Street food and summertime sips will be available from a giant list of 50+ restaurants, bars, breweries and food trucks, including 10 outdoor beer and cocktail gardens. Get ready to dance (and rock) in the street with live music and DJs on two main stages. Enjoy 14 blocks of non-stop activities along N. 2nd and connecting side streets, from Spring Garden all the way to Girard. Look for food, drink and retail specials at merchants along the famed commercial corridor. The event is no charge and open to the public. 2nd Street Festival is family friendly, and four-legged friends that are well-behaved and on leashes are also welcome.

Espresso Martini Bar Crawl Ready to Take Over Philadelphia

Northern Liberties Business Improvement District announces the return of the 3rd Annual Northern Liberties Espresso Martini Bar Crawl on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 11:00am to 4:00pm. The event returns with the biggest line-up ever, with 20+ participating locations and dozens of $8, $10 and $12 specially priced espresso martinis. Bars and restaurants will compete for bragging rights for categories such as best classic, most creative and best of the day. Look for standards and spins on the classics, plus more out of the box options, ranging to cheese covered, garnish embellished and flavored espresso martinis. The 2026 line-up includes Amina, Bar1010, Bourbon and Branch, Cantina Dos Segundos, El Camino Real, Jerry's Bar, Newsroom Philly, North 3rd, North Bowl, One Shot Coffee, Ortliebs, SET NoLibs, Silk City, Standard Tap, The 700, Urban Village and Yards Brewing. Select bars and restaurants will have coffee-infused food specials, as well as specials for St. Patrick's Weekend. Retailers will offer caffeine-inspired surprises, like Espresso Coffee Shower Steamers at Ray's Reusables, exclusive espresso martini-inspired ice cream at Milk Jawn and espresso martini sweets and treats at Madison K Cookies.

New Italian Steakhouse Announced to Open in Northern Liberties with Vibe Dining

Northern Liberties Restaurant Row will get a stunning new steakhouse that will bring vibe dining to Philadelphia. Restaurateur and Co-Owner Justin Veasey, and partners Mike Connors and William Muhr Jr., announce that SIN Philadelphia will open at 1102 Germantown Avenue, on the ground level of The Beverly - a 51 luxury Beverly Hills-inspired apartment complex is also slated to open later this year. SIN, which stands for Steak Italian Nightlife, will bring the dinner experience up a notch by pairing an upscale meal, Instagram ready cocktails and the perfect aesthetic with music and entertainment. The 4,750 square feet space will feature a main dining room, sweeping bar and private dining room/event space for a total of 200 seats. From the kitchen, SIN will serve great homemade cuisine with a menu of unique selections that are delivered in a high-end and show-stopping way that compliments the vibes of the space and the entertainment. The scratch kitchen will deliver authentic Italian cuisine, homemade pastas and high-end steaks. For a dish to remember, SIN will feature the experience of "cheese wheel" homemade pasta served tableside. For Sunday brunch, look for an all day celebration that starts early at 9:30am and goes into the early evening. For the bar program, look for 50-75 wines by the bottle, 10 by the glass and a focus on martini and unique cocktails.

Northern Liberties Restaurant Week Moves to Winter with Two Dozen Restaurants Jan 27 to Feb 5

Northern Liberties Business Improvement District announces the return of Northern Liberties Restaurant Week from Friday, January 27 to Sunday, February 5, 2023. The city's hottest NEW restaurant week to hit the food scene is back with new dates, more restaurants, new restaurants, updated price points, indoor and outdoor options, take-out and delivery, and tons of the city's best eats! Moved to winter to support restaurants during the colder months, Northern Liberties Restaurant Week is back with nearly two dozen of the neighborhood's biggest names that will offer two course or more lunches for $10 or $15, and three or more course dinners for $15, $25 and $40. Look for special features and signature favorite dishes, outdoor options, artful and colorful dining rooms, cocktail features, and much more. For outdoor options, several Northern Liberties restaurants have patios, sidewalk seating, courtyards - and yes, the Igloos at Figo even join the line-up this year. Book your reservation and enjoy a diversity of cuisines, vibes and settings. New restaurants joining the line-up this year will include Nourish Cafe, Hikari Sushi, Las Cazuelas, The Winston, The Shake Seafood, D’Oliva EVOO Pizza and Grill and others to be announced. Wag Watch Throws Grand Opening Puppy Pawty and K9 Kegger in Northern Liberties for Doggy Daycare

Tails are wagging in Northern Liberties! Wag Watch brings Philly’s fastest growing neighborhood a sparkling new dog daycare and retail boutique. Co-founders Jason Jennings and Brian Kelly invite dog owners and their four-legged furry friends to a free K9 Kegger on Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 11:00am to 2:00pm. The “pup pawty” will invite local dog owners into their state-of-the-art facility for free daycare, giveaways, goodies, and ice cold beer. The event will feature free tours, meet & greets with the founders, playtime for furry playmates, complimentary beverages, chances to win prizes, and other surprises. Wag Watch is one of seven grand openings in progress in Northern Liberties, following recent openings by Pera Turkish Cuisine, 70SIX Boutique, 1040 Creative Art Center and Gallery and Ray’s Reusables, with many more to come. Northern Liberties Night Market Returns to N. 2nd Street with Dozens of Food Trucks, Vendors and Music

The organizers of 2nd Street Festival announce the first-ever spring edition of the new Northern Liberties Night Market Series. This inaugural series of outdoor food festivals is rolling into the single fastest growing neighborhood in Philadelphia on Thursday, May 26th, from 5:00pm to 10:00pm, on N. 2nd Street between Fairmount and Poplar streets. This new event will take place every spring and fall and is a pivot and expansion by the operators of the city's 2nd Street Festival, which returns this summer after a pandemic break. For this pop-up food festival, look for dozens of food trucks, food vendors, shopping vendors, sidewalk cafes, entertainment, music, street performers, and other fun surprises. This is the fourth grand opening in a row for NLBID and another amazing female-owned and Black owned business adding to the diverse small business mix. 1040 Creative grand opens this new arts and culture hub at 1040 N. 2nd Street, Suite 301, at Liberties Walk, this Friday, May 6th, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The opening event is free and open to the public, and will feature lite bites, meet the artists, a pop-up show and live music. Northern Liberties Business Improvement DIstrict is thrilled to announce the grand opening of the neighborhood's first fashion boutique - and the addition of another amazing female-owned small business. 70SIX Boutique is a brand new boutique that features women's fashion, accessories, home decor and gifts all under $100, presented by owner Lindsey McKinney. The grand opening will be this Saturday, April 30th, at 215 West Laurel Street, with a celebration from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Grand Opening: Ray's Reusables Brings Eco-Store, Refill Station and Gift Shop to Northern Liberties

Northern Liberties Business Improvement District announces the grand opening of Ray's Reusables at 935 N. 2nd Street. This female and queer owned eco-store and refill station is the first brick and mortar retail store from Ray Daly (she/her), who became well-known and popular over the pandemic for her eco pop-up and mobile store that launched during the pandemic. Ray's will continue to pop-up and now has this new brick and mortar that is bustling with products to help customers focus on reducing their carbon footprint. All products focus on the three R's of Ray's - reuse, refill and replace. Categories include body care, cleaning and laundry, plus home goods and gifts. Opening hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 11:00am to 7:00pm, Saturday, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, and Sunday, from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
