Harper's Garden, Lola's Garden, Juno and Rosy's Taco Bar Launch Dry January Mocktail Happy Hour

FCM Hospitality is embracing the concept of Dry January and taking it to an all new level with the launch of new Dry January Mocktail Happy Hour, along with new and expanded mocktail menus at five properties, ranging from Northern Liberties to Center City, Spring Garden to Ardmore, and more. Properties will include the region's most buzzed about restaurants including Harper's Garden, Lola's Garden, Juno, Rosy's Taco Bar and Craft Hall. Each property will expand and feature special mocktails for the entire month, and offer five dollar mocktails in a first-ever for the region "Dry January Mocktail Happy Hour" that will take place at each property, with hours and days varying by location.

The Story Brings Stunning New Coffee Shop and Bookstore to Downtown Ardmore

Continuing the explosion of new businesses opening in Ardmore, downtown now welcomes The Story – a coffee shop and bookstore located at 45 E. Lancaster Avenue. Most recently, the building was the 843 VFW outpost, where it served veterans in the Ardmore area for over 30 years. Owners have taken the former outpost and renovated it with thrifted, repurposed and donated decor that all hold hundreds of years of history - including the 1893 Schomacker & Co. piano, the circa 1923 bar chairs, the custom lion-head bar from a local mansion, the book wall with chapters unfolding above the plush vintage lounger - and the feature wall designed and hand-papered by Carissa Robinson from Creator Studio in Philly.

Ardmore Oktoberfest Returns with Picnic in the Plaza with Music, Beer and BBQ

Prost! Ardmore Initiative presents the 11th Annual Ardmore Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with a Picnic in the Plaza! Schauffele Plaza (adjacent to Tired Hands Fermentaria) will again be filled with live music, food and music, plus beer garden-style reserved seating. Tired Hands Brewing Company and Levante Brewing will offer several beer selections that include local and seasonal favorites. Sophie’s BBQ will come prepped with a portable smoker to churn out their popular pulled pork and brisket sandwiches and Jack McShea’s will serve German-inspired fare like bratwurst, homemade Bavarian pretzels, and more. Live music and delicious desserts will round out the early evening fun. VIP advance table reservations are $85 per party that includes a dedicated table for three hours for four to eight guests, plus the first four beers to start the night.

Up to Eleven Debuts New Coffee Shop and E-Bike Store Hybrid in Ardmore

Laura Fay, co-founder of Separatist Beer Project, announces the grand opening of a brand-new all-in-one coffee shop and e-bike store coming to the Main Line starting this weekend. Up to Eleven is a unique all-in-one hybrid that brings together the best of both worlds for coffee and cycling lovers. The new concept will showcase three big partners, including bagels from Kismet Bagels, coffee from Reanimator Coffee, and e-bikes by Specialized. Doors will open this Saturday, August 21st, from 7:00am to 3:00pm, at 65 Cricket Flats.

Restaurant veteran Anthony DePaul announces the grand opening of DePaul's Table: Modern Italian Steakhouse this Thursday, May 6th at 7E. Lancaster Avenue. DePaul, formerly from The Chophouse, Marc Forgione’s American Cut Steakhouse and Borgata, will bring a pedigree of industry insight and knowledge to this exciting new concept. DePaul aims to bring back the long lost artform of the Maitre D’ with elevated customer service and extra attention to detail. The Sisterly Love Food Fair celebrates Women's History Month with special food fair pop-ups heading to all corners of the region. For four weekends in a row, look for the top local female chefs, restaurateurs and entrepreneurs supporting each other during the pandemic at this one-day outdoor, socially distanced food markets. On Saturday, March 6th, Sisterly Love will head to the Main Line and Philadelphia Suburbs for the very first time. Hosted by Ardmore Initiative and Restaurant Marokko, Sisterly Love will pop-up in Schauffele Plaza in Downtown Ardmore from 12 Noon to 2:00pm with dozens of regional and local vendors, plus entertainment provided by Ardmore Music Hall.

Ardmore Celebrates The Holidays With Rally For Restaurants, Tree Lighting, And Santa Claus

Celebrate holidays on the Main Line with a month of festive offerings in Downtown Ardmore starting on Black Friday and running through December 23rd. The downtown business community kicks off the holidays with the Ardmore Holiday Kick-Off and Tree Lighting on Black Friday, November 27th, at 5:00pm. Ardmore Initiative, Ardmore Business Association and sponsor PECO will live stream Santa's arrival and the lighting of the Christmas Tree with special guest Cinderella by A Dash of Magic. The thirty minute program will feature a surprise entrance for Jolly Ole St. Nick himself, songs by everyone's favorite princess Cinderella presented by A Dash of Magic Events, and remarks by local dignitaries. The Holiday Rally for Ardmore Restaurants and Retail will then start on Small Business Saturday, November 28th and run through December 23rd.

FCM Hospitality and owner Avram Hornik are heading to the Main Line with their first-ever suburban brick and mortar concept. Lola's Garden is now officially under permit review construction at Suburban Square in the heart of the red hot Ardmore dining scene. The brand-new indoor and outdoor restaurant, patio and beer/wine garden hybrid will take inspiration from the company's popular Rittenhouse restaurant, Harper's Garden. The 260 seat dining destination will offer beautiful and picturesque views of Suburban Square's inner green courtyard, while offering the approachability of the company's waterfront favorite Morgan's Pier. The Modern American culinary program will be chef-driven and highlight seasonal local offerings. Look for ample vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Stove And Tap, Al Pastor, and The Bercy Announces Outdoor Dining Starting June 5th

Stove and Co. Restaurant Group announces the launch and expansion plans for outdoor dining for four large scale restaurants in the Philadelphia suburbs. Starting Friday, June 5, 2020, Stove and Tap Malvern, Stove and Tap Lansdale, The Bercy in Downtown Ardmore and Al Pastor in Exton will begin outdoor dining for happy hour at 4:00pm. For owner Justin Weathers and Joseph Monnich, the news today by Governor Tom Wolf couldn't have been more welcome. The duo behind some of the Suburb's and Main Line's most celebrated restaurants were some of the hardest hit when COVID19 shut down Montgomery and surrounding counties earlier this year - hot on the heels of the grand opening of their Stove and Tap Malvern location and during the construction of their yet-to-open Stove and Tap location in West Chester. Now the duo have a path to recovery and moving forward with this news, combined with the launch of legal cocktails-to-go last week.
