Christmas Village in Baltimore Announces Return to Inner Harbor for 2021 Holiday Season

Christmas Village in Baltimore announces it will return to Inner Harbor for the coming 2021 holiday season. After being cancelled due to the mandatory shut-down last year, the traditional German Christmas Market again will light up West Shore Park from Thanksgiving (November 25th) through Christmas Eve (December 24th), with a special preview weekend planned for November 20 and 21, 2021. This beloved annual Charm City tradition will feature 50+ local small businesses, makers and international vendors, with something for everyone on Santa’s shopping list. Come ready to shop for toys, apparel, jewelry, decorations, home decor, artwork and much more. Famous German vendor Käthe Wohlfahrt will return with thousands of glass ornaments, nutcrackers, pyramids and limited-edition holiday decorations. Vendors will be located outside in traditional festively-decorated wooden huts, plus inside the giant heated festival tent. The 65 ft. tall Ferris Wheel, located right next to the Baltimore Visitor Center, will be returning in its full glory to add to the holiday and festive vibes. For foodies, get ready to follow the delicious smell of gingerbread and freshly charcoal-grilled brats.

Returning for its 14th season, Christmas Village in Philadelphia will once again transform LOVE Park and City Hall (Courtyard and North Apron) into a traditional, open-air German Christmas Market, open daily between Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 25th and Christmas Eve, Friday, December 24th, with a preview weekend planned for November 20 to 21, 2021. New and returning for this year, Christmas Village will present an extra magical surprise with a double-tier Christmas Village carousel in the City Hall Courtyard, along with a brand-new German food court in the Courtyard. Ardmore Celebrates The Holidays With Rally For Restaurants, Tree Lighting, And Santa Claus

Celebrate holidays on the Main Line with a month of festive offerings in Downtown Ardmore starting on Black Friday and running through December 23rd. The downtown business community kicks off the holidays with the Ardmore Holiday Kick-Off and Tree Lighting on Black Friday, November 27th, at 5:00pm. Ardmore Initiative, Ardmore Business Association and sponsor PECO will live stream Santa's arrival and the lighting of the Christmas Tree with special guest Cinderella by A Dash of Magic. The thirty minute program will feature a surprise entrance for Jolly Ole St. Nick himself, songs by everyone's favorite princess Cinderella presented by A Dash of Magic Events, and remarks by local dignitaries. The Holiday Rally for Ardmore Restaurants and Retail will then start on Small Business Saturday, November 28th and run through December 23rd.

Glen Foerd Mansion Presents a Gilded Age Christmas with Tree Lighting, Visit from Santa, Holiday Tea and New Exhibition

Glen Foerd, Philadelphia’s only riverfront mansion open to the public, will offer a multitude of holiday events this year that are sure to put you in the holiday spirit. The mansion will offer music and dance performances, a festive holiday tea and an exhibition featuring the German art of paper cutting, called Sherenschnitte. This year’s decorations sparkle in silver and gold, including a twelve foot Christmas tree designed by decorators from Feeney’s Garden Center.

Glen Foerd will partner with Settlement Music School’s Kardon Northeast Branch to bring musical and ballet performances to the family friendly event Christmas at the Mansion on Saturday, December 6. From 1:00pm to 5:00pm the public is invited to experience the mansion in full holiday décor, enjoy performances and children’s crafts. The Dining Car will be selling holiday sweets and cookies. Join Santa at 5:00pm as he makes an appearance at our outdoor holiday tree lighting and joins guests in singing holiday carols.


On Saturday, December 13 from 11:00am to 2:00pm adults are welcome to step back in time and enjoy a delightful holiday tea luncheon with Glen Foerd’s former mistress of the mansion, Florence Foerderer Tonner. Also, during December don' t miss Glen Foerd's latest exhibition, “Shear Beauty: The Paper Cut Artistry of Margarethe Von Glehn Luther." The exhibition is free to the public and can be viewed Monday evenings from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
