Christmas Village in Baltimore announces it will return to Inner Harbor for the coming 2022 holiday season with its largest footprint ever and a record number of vendors.  Charm City’s beloved holiday tradition is ready to transform West Shore Park (501 Light Street) into a traditional indoor and outdoor German Christmas Market, opening on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 24th and running through Christmas Eve (December 24th), with a special Preview Weekend on November 19 and 20, 2022. Visitors and locals alike are invited to enjoy big holiday vibes with the return of the 30-foot-tall stunning Christmas Pyramid from the Ore Mountains, the 65-foot-tall illuminated Ferris Wheel, and the Christmas Village Carousel with horses and festive reindeer. Fifty-five local small businesses, makers and international vendors, with something for everyone on Santa’s shopping list. This includes the most vendors in the event's history - with new wooden vendor booths extending along the picturesque Inner Harbor Promenade. Famous German vendor Käthe Wohlfahrt will return with thousands of glass ornaments, nutcrackers, pyramids, and limited-edition holiday decorations. Vendors will be located outside in traditional festively-decorated wooden huts, plus inside the giant heated festival tent. Other highlights will include a large selection of Glühwein (mulled wine), the warm glow of the open-air Bratwurst Grill, an expansive outdoor seating area, the Hofbrau Beergarden, photos with Santa Claus, appearances by Gingy the Gingerbread Man, and theme weekends with live entertainment. Foodies will find Raclette Cheese sandwiches, bacon on a stick, wine and beer tastings, all-new spirits tastings, and much more. After being cancelled due to the pandemic last year, Charm City’s beloved holiday tradition is ready to transform West Shore Park (501 Light Street) into a traditional indoor and outdoor German Christmas Market. Christmas Village will open early with a preview weekend on Saturday, November 20 and Sunday, November 21, 2021 to offer the opportunity of a sneak peek for visitors. After the preview weekend, Christmas Village will follow its annual tradition, opening during regular hours for the season starting on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 25 through Christmas Eve, Friday, December 24, 2021. Visitors and locals alike are invited to enjoy big holiday vibes with the return of the 30 foot tall stunning Christmas Pyramid from the Ore Mountains, the 65 foot tall illuminated ferris wheel and the addition of a brand-new Christmas Village Carousel with horses and festive reindeer. Famous German ornament vendor Käthe Wohlfahrt will return to the heated festival tent along with 50+ local small businesses, makers, and international vendors. Christmas Village in Baltimore is ready to transform West Shore Park (501 Light Street) into a traditional indoor and outdoor German Christmas Market. For the new holiday season, this annual Baltimore tradition will open early with a preview weekend on Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24, 2019. Christmas Village will then open regular hours for the season starting on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28th through Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24th. During the preview, visitors are invited to catch a first glimpse at the remodeled and expanded layout, with a new expanded open floor plan for the stage, added decorations and space for the Christmas Village Beer Garden, a grand new centerpiece in the middle of the wooden shopping huts, an expanded outdoor food and drink area, a new kids’ corner, and the addition of a second circle of wooden shopping huts. Christmas Village in Baltimore will again transform West Shore Park (501 Light Street) into a traditional, indoor and outdoor GermanChristmas Market, open between Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26 and Sunday, December 27, 2015. Inner Harbor is invited to enjoy holiday sights and sounds with thousands of twinkling lights, two Christmas Trees, live music at the main indoor stage presented by Condor, entertainment, children’s activities and more than 50 vendors. Shop for high-quality, international and local gifts and decorations. Warm up with a glass of warm mulled wine or hot chocolate while enjoying the great variety of European food and drink. On top of opening for an extra weekend, other additions for 2015 include new decorations like Original Herrnhut Stars, daily happy hours, food and drink areas, vendors and tasty treats.
