Brauhaus Schmitz Presents Sommerfest Block Party with Giant Maypole, Live Music, Dancers, More

Prost! Brauhaus Schmitz presents Sommerfest Block Party and Summer Festival on South Street on Saturday, June 25th, from 11:00am to 7:00pm. The city's award-winning German restaurant will take over the entire 700 block of South Street for a full day of family fun that includes the region's largest Maypole, authentic German dancing, live music, flower crowns, face painting, schnapski tent, games and much more. Brauhaus will pop-up with the city's largest outdoor German Biergarten with seating and shade for 1,000 guests. From the kitchen, Chef Mason Nash will fire up currywurst, roast pork, bacon wurst, brats and pretzels. From the taps, look for 13 different beers pouring, including Kölsch to Hefeweizens, Pilsners, Kellerbiers and Spring Bocks. The Sommerfest VIP Brauer Bund Bierhall will include private access to bathrooms, air conditioning, indoor seating, an all-day exclusive appetizer buffet, a commemorative glass beer stein, exclusive beers and six beer tokens. Sommerfest is free to attend, with food and drink pay-as-you-go. VIP tickets are on sale now for $100 each.

Glu Hospitality Debuts Leda and The Swan Popup Cocktail Garden in Northern Liberties

Glu Hospitality presents a limited-edition end-of-summer experience with the grand opening of Leda and The Swan Pop-up Cocktail Garden at 1033 N. 2nd Street, running from Saturday, August 21 to Sunday, September 5, 2021. The new al fresco cocktail and music hideaway will pop-up outside of the former home of Wahlburgers, next to the Piazza and across from El Camino and SET No Libs. This outdoor space come September will be part of one of the city's largest openings of the year when Glu will debut two side-by-side restaurant concepts Figo Ristorante and Figo Pizzeria. While partners Derek Gibbons and Tim Lu put the finishing touches on the new restaurants, they wanted to activate the gorgeous outdoor patio and covered bar with a cocktail garden featuring the best of Leda and The Swan's carefully curated menu that was designed by well-known cocktail veterans Ryan Fenton and Zach Kessler.

Dolphin Tavern Brings The Music, Dancing And Dollar Tacos To South Philly

The giant disco ball is spinning once again! One of South Philly’s best dance club destinations is back open and brings with it a new kitchen to focus on more than just the nightlife. After being closed due to the pandemic, Dolphin Tavern returns with theme dance parties, disco-vibe dance floor, painted murals, quirky wall art and music entertainment. Additionally, locals can now flock to this corner bar before the lights go down for happy hour drinks and quintessential bar bites, including a $1 taco menu. Besides a new kitchen, an intimate stage will also debut as the Dolphin team works to add more live music acts to their already popular DJ entertainment, quizzo, karaoke and theme night schedule. Dolphin Tavern is currently open Wednesday to Saturday from 4:00pm to 2:00am, with food service from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. Dolphin Tavern is available for private rentals Sunday to Tuesday. Dolphin Tavern is located at 1539 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia PA 19147. It is located steps away from the Tasker Morris entrance to the Broad Street Line. Free street parking is located on all surrounding streets.
