Dolphin Tavern Brings The Music, Dancing And Dollar Tacos To South Philly

The giant disco ball is spinning once again! One of South Philly’s best dance club destinations is back open and brings with it a new kitchen to focus on more than just the nightlife. After being closed due to the pandemic, Dolphin Tavern returns with theme dance parties, disco-vibe dance floor, painted murals, quirky wall art and music entertainment. Additionally, locals can now flock to this corner bar before the lights go down for happy hour drinks and quintessential bar bites, including a $1 taco menu. Morgan's Pier Set to Reopen for 10th Season on the Waterfront Starting April 22nd

Philadelphia's largest open-air outdoor restaurant is coming back! FCM Hospitality and owner Avram Hornik announce that Morgan's Pier (221 N. Christopher Columbus Blvd.) will open for the year starting on Thursday, April 22nd at 4:00pm. Now celebrating its tenth season the Delaware River, the region's top al fresco dining destination and tourism hot spot will bring back the summertime vibes, breathtaking views, great food and thirst-quenching drinks to the Waterfront. For this special milestone season, Morgan's Pier welcomes Chef Waldemar (Val) Stryjewski taking the helm in the kitchen with a brand-new menu of returning and new favorites - with an expanded selection of seafood, snacks, small plates, flatbreads sandwiches, sweets and kids' favorites. New dishes include Fried Scallops, Salmon Crudo, Chicken Empanadas, Lobster Roll, Grilled Chicken and Pulled Pork (from the Craft Hall new BBQ menu). Wonderspaces Reopens at Fashion District with New Exhibits to Celebrate One Year Anniversary

Wonderspaces Philadelphia is celebrating its reopening and one year anniversary with the debut of new installations that include Akousmaflore by Scenocosme, Thank You Bags by Reed van Brunschot, and a new VR film: Notes on Blindness: Into Darkness by Peter Middleton, James Spinney, Arnaud Colinart, and Amaury La Burthe. Delaware Avenue starting Thursday, January 14th with outdoor dining, take-out and delivery, and starting Saturday, January 16th with expansive indoor dining. As restaurants adapt their operations to survive the pandemic, look for Craft Hall to pivot and turn the menu focus to BBQ, smoked meats and hearty pizzas. Executive Chef Adam Iazarick and his team will put the 700 lb. smoker to full use in creating a menu that is delicious and hearty as the perfect mid-winter pandemic comfort food.

Concourse Dance Bar Reinvents Itself And Reopens This Week As A Covid Safe Restaurant

FCM Hospitality and owner Avram Hornik announce the re-opening of Concourse Dance Bar at 1635 Market Street, Back Entrance. Starting Friday, October 9th, and continuing until it is safe for bars and nightclubs to re-open, Concourse will return and operate temporarily as a restaurant serving up a special pre-paid three course, small-plate menu of Philadelphia food favorites that are paired with three cocktails (or non-alcoholic mocktails). Guests will enjoy their food and drink pairings as they move through three rooms of the 15,000 square foot space. Masks are required at all times when not seated, and all seating is a minimum of six feet apart. While moving through the space, socially-distanced patrons will step back in time for a full sensory experience filled with nostalgia, 90s tunes, eclectic and vintage decor, Instagrammable art, colorful lights and lasers - and the brand new Philadelphia-inspired ice room.

Trunc In Northern Liberties Reopens And Hosts Fundraiser For The Colored Girls Museum

Trunc, located at 929 N. 2nd Street, is back open for business and hosting a special fundraiser for The Colored Girls Museum. Philadelphia's only black-owned, veteran owned and female-owned maker spaces and retail shops is now reopened for business in the heart of one of the city's hottest neighborhoods, Northern Liberties. The store opened in 2018 and after a full year of sales in 2019, was set to have a record year in 2020 when the global pandemic shut down all retail shops in March. After months of being closed, retail shops like Trunc are back open and opening again in Northern Liberties Business Improvement District. Trunc is open to start with in-person hours Fridays to Sundays, from Noon to 5:00pm, with a ten person shopping limit, masks required, ample hand sanitizer on hand and other precautions.
