The largest outdoor, juried arts festival in the tri-state region returns to celebrate a special milestone this year. Manayunk Development Corporation announces the 35th Anniversary of the Manayunk Arts Festival on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, 2024. Three hundred exhibiting artists - and thirty emerging artists - will showcase the best in fine arts and crafts from across the country. The William Way LGBT Community Center and artist/entrepreneur Alex Stadler have teamed up to collaborate on a special exhibition and public memorial service for those lost in the early AIDS pandemic in the city of Philadelphia. Gone and For Ever, part of Remembrance, will remember and honor those who died in our region dating back to the early 1980s. Stadler and collaborating artists have created a one-of-a-kind artist-made exhibition to be displayed at the Center (1315 Spruce Street) during Philly Gay Pride Month, from June 21-24, leading up to the piece’s culminating public memorial on June 25.

Northern Liberties Business Improvement District announces the return of Artists at Work on Saturday, November 13th, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, as part of 2nd Saturdays Northern Liberties. The final Artists at Work of 2021 is the biggest yet. Twelve businesses throughout Northern Liberties will host live artist demonstrations in their space. Wonderspaces Adds Three New Installations at Fashion District in Time for Summer

Wonderspaces Philadelphia announces the debut of three new installations coming to the Philadelphia Fashion District just in time for summer. Starting Wednesday, June 30th, Wonderspaces welcomes Our Top 100 by Jody Servon, Erupture by Nicole Banowetz, and Micromonumental Mapping: The Essence of Creation by Limelight. The new exhibits join other recent additions and continuing installations, such as Submergence by Squidsoup, Body Paint by Memo Akten and Thank You Bags by Reed van Brunschot. Wonderspaces continues to be a unique, interactive and socially distanced activity for locals, neighbors and visitors in the heart of Center City. Wonderspaces is currently operating at reduced capacity, making the experience even more personal and intimate. Timed with the launch of these new installations, Wonderspaces will expand capacity to 20 people per every fifteen minutes. Masks are required for all visitors who are not fully vaccinated.

South Street Spring Festival Kicks Off Philadelphia's Summer Season with Music, Food, Drinks, Family Fun, Art, Shopping and More on Saturday, May 2, 2015

South Street Spring Festival is ready to rock with the Philadelphia’s best sounds, tastes, sips, shopping and sights on Saturday, May 2, 2015, from 11:00AM to 8:00PM. This giant free, all-ages outdoor block party will close down South Street (between Front and 8th) and run along Headhouse Plaza (between South and Lombard).

More than 30 eateries, bars and food trucks will serve signature and special dishes and drinks under the blue skies. More than 40 bands will rock three stages and seven performance areas. Headhouse Plaza will be transformed into a giant lawn concert complete with grass, lawn chairs, games and beachballs. Twenty-seven artists will sell their handmade wares and crafts. Children of all ages will enjoy free family fun in the expanded Kids Zone. Over 100 boutiques, small businesses and other other retailers will cater to your style, beauty, health, fitness and other shopping needs. In conjunction with the Festival, Brauhaus Schmitz will host the second annual German Maifest on the 700 block of South Street, with German beers, dancers, music, food, flower headbands and even a Maypole.  Outside of Atomic City Comics (638 South Street) look for free giveaways and character appearances during Free Comic Book Day.
