Celebrate National Margarita Day with Specials at Eight Philadelphia and Suburb Restaurants

Philadelphia and Suburban restaurants and bars will celebrate the region’s love of margs with National Margarita Day on Taco Tuesday, February 22, 2022. From classic to flavored, on the rocks to frozen, from salt rims to sugar, and everything in between, area restaurants will roll out specials and features all day with everything from $5 margaritas, $20 flights, bottomless tacos, food features, take-home kits, and much more. Save the date and come thirsty and hungry for National Margarita Day this year on Taco Tuesday. In the city, look for specials and deals at Añejo Philly, Buena Onda, Rosy’s Taco Bar, Cantina, Cantina Dos Segundos and Tradesmans. In the suburbs, get your margs on at Al Pastor in Exton and Lola’s Garden in Ardmore’s Suburban Square. On the Saturday before, Sueño is part of the Philadelphia Margarita Crawl that will feature all day specials at participating Center City restaurants.

Philadelphia Bark Bowl Makes Debut Super Bowl Weekend at Craft Hall to Benefit PSPCA

Craft Hall and Pennsylvania SPCA are teaming up to present the first-ever Philadelphia Bark Bowl on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from Noon to 2:00pm. After a ruff January, FCM Hospitality and PSPCA are looking to bring out the smiles by watching furry friends play, tumble and go for a touchdown in both the special indoor dog park created for this special event, plus outside at Unleashed Bark and Beer - Philly's Dog Park Beer Garden. Enjoy food and drink specials, while meeting some adorable adoptables. These VIPs (Very Important Pups) will be the cheerleaders for the event and will be sure to steal hearts on Valentine's Weekend. Come out and find a Valentine in one of these paws-itively perfect pups! Plus, guests are encouraged to bring their own well-behaved four-legged besties to romp and play the day away. Philadelphia Bark Bowl will take place at Craft Hall, at 901 N. Delaware Avenue. The main event will take place inside, with a special indoor puppy park that will make this event rain, snow or shine. Before the big day, Craft Hall will host an at-home competition online for the first ever Philly's Barkie Award by tagging @crafthallphilly and hashtags #barkie #barkbowl2022. Each like and comment is one ballot! Voting ends at Noon on Friday, February 11th.

Philadelphia's Largest Restaurant in Modern History Announced for Waterfront Coming This Apri

FCM Hospitality and Owner Avram Hornik announce a brand new restaurant that aims to make Philadelphia history. Liberty Point will replace Hornik's Craft Hall as the city's largest restaurant when it opens in April with seating and capacity for up to 1,400 guests. The new outdoor-indoor concept will feature three main levels, five bars, food, drink, live entertainment, beautiful landscaping, lush plants, blooming flowers, unique vibes and the best views of the waterfront. Liberty Point will be located at 211 S. Columbus Blvd. Philadelphia, PA 19106, adjacent to the Independence Seaport Museum.

Inis Nua Theatre Presents American Premiere of Finding Fassbender at Philadelphia's Drake Theatre

Inis Nua Theatre presents the American Premiere of FINDING FASSBENDER, a solo show from actor turned playwright Lydia Larson. When Eve gets a promotion, she moves to London in the hopes of having a glamorous big city life. But soon she discovers that being one in 9 million can be pretty lonely. Feeling at her lowest, a lifeline comes to Eve in the form of a letter for her apartment’s former tenant – Hollywood actor Michael Fassbender. Now all Eve has to do is return this letter to the rightful owner! The production will be directed by Barrymore Award-nominated director and Inis Nua Founder and Artistic Director Tom Reing. Previews begin Wednesday, February 9, with opening night on Friday, February 11. The show runs through February 27, 2022 for a total of 15 performances. All performances will take place at the Louis Bluver Theatre at the Drake, 302 South Hicks Street. Tickets are $15 - $30.

SliCE and Steven Singer Jewelers Team Up for Valentine's with Heart-Shaped Pizzas and Gold-Dipped Roses

Two local small businesses are teaming up with the most unique Valentine's Day gifts in the region. Steven Singer Jewelers returns for Valentine's with their signature 24 kt. gold-dipped roses, including a new color with Emerald City Green. Singer is open at their location at 739 Walnut with special Valentine's Weekend hours. SliCE is also taking orders and delivering heart-shaped pizza grams now through Valentine's Day in Fishtown, Northern Liberties, Center City, South Philly, University City and Washington Township. Together, the two have joined forces and Singer is donating part of the proceeds from Valentine's gold-dipped rose sales to support SliCE and feed over 750 health heroes and frontline staff heart-shaped pizzas this week at both Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Pennsylvania Hospital. On Valentine's Day itself the two will again team up and three lucky heart gram recipients will find a special gold-dipped rose with their heart-shaped pizza.

Main Line Today Restaurant Week Kicks Off February 21st with Over Thirty Restaurants

Main Line Today and Today Media announce the 2022 Main Line Today Restaurant Week, presented by Firstrust Bank, running February 21st through March 6th, 2022. The 14-day culinary celebration will bring together and showcase the talents of top chefs, restaurants and purveyors in Montgomery, Delaware and Chester counties. Participating restaurants will offer special three-course prix fixe menus for lunch ($26.95, plus tax, beverage and gratuity) and dinner ($39.95, plus tax, beverage and gratuity). Restaurants can choose what works best for them, offering lunch, dinner, or both—dine-in or takeout. Foodies from across the tri-state area are invited to save the date, make their reservations, and come hungry for the tastiest weeks of the summer. New Mardi Gras Pop-up Bar Brings Taste of New Orleans to Philadelphia

Craftsman Row Saloon, at 112 S. 8th Street, announces the opening of Philadelphia's only Mardi Gras Pop-up Bar Experience starting this Thursday, February 3rd through Fat Tuesday, on Tuesday, March 1st. The sites, sounds and tastes of The Big Easy come to Philly with a special limited-time pop-up experience that includes everything from an over-the-top King of Bourbon Street Milkshake, King Cake glittering gold, green and purple sweet potato fries, dirty rice, and Bourbon Street inspired cocktails. Cocktails come with beads, masks and/or other souvenirs pending the specific beverage. The award-winning Christmas pop-up decorations from December have been entirely replaced by thousands of glittery beads, feathers, masquerade masks and other decor to transport you to Mardi Gras. Decor includes a giant gold, green and purple masquerade mask above the dining room, plus mini vignettes paying homage to some of New Orleans' most famous streets and destinations. The floor to ceiling transformation continues both inside the dining room and outside in the Craftsman Row Saloon streetry (for warm weather days). For music, listen for a mix of Mardi Gras and New Orleans classics and staples, festive jazz and even some Mummers' favorite tunes. Craftsman Row Saloon Mardi Gras Pop-up Bar Experience opens this Thursday and runs through Fat Tuesday.

Celebrate Year of Tiger with Chinese and Lunar New Year at Dim Sum House, The Fin and Hello Vietnam

Celebrate the Year of the Tiger with three Asian-owned businesses below celebrating Chinese New Year and/or Lunar New Year. Celebrations start as early as January 30 and run through mid-February. In University City and Rittenhouse, two of the largest Chinese restaurants, bars, lounges and event spaces in the city present a special menu of food and drink, plus two events with firecrackers, decorations and the traditional lion dance. Dim Sum House by Jane G's will celebrate starting January 30th through February 13th, with special events on February 5th. In Fishtown, The Fin celebrates its first-ever Lunar New Year and Lantern Festival on Valentine's Day Monday, February 14, 2022 with a special menu, an extensive list of special cocktails, a chance for prizes through the golden ticket cocktail, lanterns and decor and more. The Montreal Beach Resort in Cape May Announces New Owners and Major Property Updates

As perhaps one of the longest family owned and operated businesses in Cape May, the Montreal Beach Resort and Harry’s Ocean Bar and Grille have finally changed hands after 56 years in business. The new owner is Madison Resorts, a locally owned hospitality management company headed by property operations veteran Dan Alicea, who has previously worked in the local market, as well as led the revitalization of two historic resorts on the east coast.

Grand Opening: Stove and Tap Owners Debut GBU Bar and Speakeasy in West Chester

Downtown West Chester will get a colorful new addition to its bustling food and drink scene this week. Stove and Co. Restaurant Group partners Justin Weathers and Joseph Monnich announce the grand opening of Good Bad and Ugly this Thursday, January 27th at 4:00pm at 158 West Gay Street, underneath Stove and Tap West Chester. This is the first-ever bar-focused concept from the owners/partners of Stove and Tap, Revival Pizza Pub, Al Pastor and DePaul's Table. This opening represents the group's fifth grand opening during the pandemic as they expand across the Main Line and Western Suburbs. Good Bad and Ugly is Stove and Co's playful and modern twist on an old-fashioned underground dive bar, where they will serve up drinks, beers, bar food, vibes, games, music and sports five nights a week. There are three sides to every story and GBU will tell them all - the good, the bad and the ugly. Come as you are, be who you are, and be prepared to let your hair down and have a good ole time. The 2,000 square foot space features seating for 52 people, including at the giant 80+ foot long bar. Games include West Chester's only pool table, plus foosball and shuffleboard. Modern day cowboy vibes take inspiration from old fashioned spaghetti westerns and bring together elements from the owners' love of Clint Eastwood and Quentin Tarantino movies. Bar bites include fare executed by Stove and Tap West Chester's Executive Chef Yasser Wolf.
