Celebrate Year of Tiger with Chinese and Lunar New Year at Dim Sum House, The Fin and Hello Vietnam

Celebrate the Year of the Tiger with three Asian-owned businesses below celebrating Chinese New Year and/or Lunar New Year. Celebrations start as early as January 30 and run through mid-February. In University City and Rittenhouse, two of the largest Chinese restaurants, bars, lounges and event spaces in the city present a special menu of food and drink, plus two events with firecrackers, decorations and the traditional lion dance. Dim Sum House by Jane G's will celebrate starting January 30th through February 13th, with special events on February 5th. In Fishtown, The Fin celebrates its first-ever Lunar New Year and Lantern Festival on Valentine's Day Monday, February 14, 2022 with a special menu, an extensive list of special cocktails, a chance for prizes through the golden ticket cocktail, lanterns and decor and more. In Northern Liberties, Hello Vietnam presents complimentary tea, plus a free new themed appetizer, "Lucky Golden 'Tons" with every order .

Fine Palate Unveils New Lounge, Weekday Lunch Service And New Fall Dishes

Executive Chef Vince Joseph and owner Courtney Dow celebrate the first anniversary of Fine Palate (231 S. 15th Street) with some exciting changes, both in and out of the kitchen. Starting this week, look for a new lounge on the first floor, new weekday lunch service and new fall menu changes on the dinner menu. The duo, known for the first pop-up rooftop sensation Le Bok Fin, opened the global-oriented restaurant and bar in fall of 2015. One year later, they want to continue to continue to evolve the dining experience they are offering, while pushing the envelope with the finest ingredients from around the world.

Cinder Now Open, Bringing Ciders, Sours And Artisan Pizza To Rittenhouse Square

Teddy Sourias of Craft Concepts (BRU Craft & Wurst, U-Bahn, Uptown Beer Garden, Finn McCool's Ale House) announces the opening of Cinder today at 1500 Locust Street. The Rittenhouse cider/sour bar and artisanal pizza kitchen features ciders and wild ales on the 32 taps and 70+ bottles. Three bell chef rated Jonathan Petruce and his culinary team will prepare pizzas, mussels, salads and small plates in the open kitchen focusing on local ingredients. Rustic pizza using creative and classical toppings will be prepared in custom-built wood-fired pizza oven. Beer will be poured from full custom design system housed in copper pipes. The bar will also pour 10 wines by the glass and over 20 wines by the bottle. The stylish and sophisticated 2,400 square foot bar and dining room seats 34 on custom built high-tops and 34 on low-tops and banquets, with 16 at the bar.
