ABOUT SLICE

SliCE offers award-winning Trenton style pies in Rittenhouse Square, South Philadelphia and Washington Township. In the beginning, owners Jason and Marlo Dilks saw a void in Philadelphia for true Italian pizza. They fittingly opened their first location one block from the Italian Market, used ingredients purchased daily from the market itself. They baked, tested, tasted, mixed and flipped until they had a pizza that would beat any American-ized slice of pie in the region. “Most consider our pies gourmet,” said Jason Dilks. “We consider ourselves what pizza was meant to be.”

Dough at all three locations is made fresh every day with only the best flour. It is hand tossed and topped first with the highest grades of cheese, then baked with our homemade, hand crushed San Marzano tomato sauce. Vegetables are purchased and chopped daily. Olives are pitted in house. Pepperoni is even hand cut. Pies are finished using extra virgin olive oil and baked on hot stones and cooked to a crisp, delicious perfection. The outcome is a thin, lightly topped, fragrant pie. From the Margherita Pizza with its fresh mozzarella and basil leaves to the Italiana with prosciutto di parma, gorgonzola cheese and arugula there is a taste of Italy in every bite.

In addition to pizza, SliCE offers a full line of fresh made salads and other specialties, including double-cooked chicken wings (South Philadelphia and Washington Township only), homemade donuts (South Philadelphia and Washington Township only), Stromboli, calzones and more. All three locations are BYOB and offer pick-up, delivery and dine-in. Washington Township location features a full dining room that is home to birthday parties, charity events and large family gatherings.
