Northern Liberties Restaurant Week Debuts at 20+ Restaurants from April 9th to 18th

Northern Liberties Business Improvement District, one of the hottest and most notable food neighborhoods in Philadelphia, launches its first-ever Northern Liberties Restaurant Week from Friday, April 9 to Sunday, April 18, 2021. Timed perfectly for the start of nice weather and expanded outdoor dining options, over 20 of the neighborhood's biggest names will offer two course (plus non-alcoholic beverage) lunches for $10 or $15, and three course dinners for $15, $20 and $25. Look for socially distanced seating inside some of the most beautiful, artful and colorful dining rooms in Philadelphia, plus seating at expansive, flowering and ornate streeteries and sidewalk cafes.

Sisterly Love Food Fair Heads to Northern Libs, Ardmore, and Cherry Street Pier

The Sisterly Love Food Fair celebrates Women's History Month with special food fair pop-ups heading to all corners of the region. For four weekends in a row, look for the top local female chefs, restaurateurs and entrepreneurs supporting each other during the pandemic at this one-day outdoor, socially distanced food markets. On Saturday, March 6th, Sisterly Love will head to the Main Line and Philadelphia Suburbs for the very first time. Hosted by Ardmore Initiative and Restaurant Marokko, Sisterly Love will pop-up in Schauffele Plaza in Downtown Ardmore from 12 Noon to 2:00pm with dozens of regional and local vendors, plus entertainment provided by Ardmore Music Hall.

Evil Genius Beer Company announces the grand opening of two new beer pop-up shops in Northern Liberties and Rittenhouse neighborhoods. Serious beer with seriously funny names are coming to new Evil Genius Kwik-E Beer Pop-up Shops at 702 N. 2nd Street and 1602 Spruce Street starting today at 5:00pm. The Fishtown-based brewery will pivot and expand with their first ever brick-and-mortar locations beyond The Lab at 1727 Front Street with these first new beer shop concepts just in time for the holidays. Evil Genius Kwik-E Beer Pop-up Shops will now represent a new direction that Evil Genius is exploring for future pop-up and retail opportunities. Trunc In Northern Liberties Reopens And Hosts Fundraiser For The Colored Girls Museum

Trunc, located at 929 N. 2nd Street, is back open for business and hosting a special fundraiser for The Colored Girls Museum. Philadelphia's only black-owned, veteran owned and female-owned maker spaces and retail shops is now reopened for business in the heart of one of the city's hottest neighborhoods, Northern Liberties. The store opened in 2018 and after a full year of sales in 2019, was set to have a record year in 2020 when the global pandemic shut down all retail shops in March. After months of being closed, retail shops like Trunc are back open and opening again in Northern Liberties Business Improvement District. Trunc is open to start with in-person hours Fridays to Sundays, from Noon to 5:00pm, with a ten person shopping limit, masks required, ample hand sanitizer on hand and other precautions.
