Philadelphia Zoo Debuts Friday Nights Dinos and Bites with Extended Hours

Philadelphia Zoo (3400 W. Girard Avenue) is set to take a dinosaur-sized bite out of summer with the launch of Friday Nights Dinos and Bites. Beginning every Friday, from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend, the Zoo will host a new evening adventure with extended hours, amazing animals, life-size animatronic dinosaurs and prehistoric-themed foods, that complement the new exhibit, Big Time: Life in an Endangerous Zone experience. Newly-renamed, Bedrock Brews beer garden and Dino Bites fooderie, fire up pre-historic burger and beer pairings and other tasty treats to chomp on, making Friday Nights Dinos and Bites the perfect spot for a night out with the family or a dino-mite date night for adults. Friday Nights Dinos and Bites runs on Friday nights through 8:00pm. General Zoo Admission is $24 for ages 12+ and $19 for ages 2-11, children under 2 are free, plus entrance for Big Time $6 (adults and children ages 2+)

Northern Liberties Debuts New Mural Hunt Starting Memorial Day Weekend

Northern Liberties Business Improvement District announces the debut of a brand-new, self-guided Philadelphia Mural Art Crawl just in time for summer. Northern Liberties Mural Hunt: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Street Art will debut on Friday, May 28th and run through Monday, July 5th. Participants in the scavenger hunt can participate by downloading the free Let’s Roam app from Google Play or the Apple store, then locate the mural hunt on the app’s regional map. Once activated, participants can go at their own pace to find 20+ pieces of street art and murals, while learning about the art pieces' history and significance. Participants are then asked to complete fun challenges and enter to win weekly prizes. One lucky winner on July 5th will win the drawing for the grand prize, a bowling party for four at North Bowl. Yards Brewing and Lokal Artisan Foods Make History With New French Toast Bites Ale

What started out as a freshly made street food treat in Philadelphia has now found its way onto the beer scene just in time for summer! Yards Brewing Company and Lokal Artisan Foods have joined forces to collaborate on the release of the new French Toast Bites Ale - a smooth and malty collab inspired by the famous French Toast Bites sold at Cherry Street Pier, Spruce Street Harbor Park, Made in America, St. Joe's University, Better Box, Philadelphia Night Market and Bronx Night Market. The new beer captures the delicious flavors of sugar and spice and everything nice - with comforting notes of maple syrup, rich brown sugar, spicy cinnamon and delicate vanilla. The beer will be available in 16 ounce cans (four-pack), plus in kegs and sixtels. Yards will produce the beer year-round out of its brewery at 500 Spring Garden Street.
