Parks on Tap Announces Return to Fairmount Water Works for Summer

Philadelphia’s famous beer garden that gives back to city parks announces its return for the summer season. Parks on Tap will start their extended stay outside of the historic Fairmount Water Works (640 Waterworks Drive) on Friday, May 20, 2022. For fans of the original traveling format, Parks on Tap will travel again starting August 31, 2022, hitting the road for five weeks highlighting five different Philadelphia parks. This hybrid model will offer the perfect blend of experiences for Philadelphia locals and tourists alike. When open, patrons will be able to enjoy sweeping riverfront views, fresh food, beers on tap, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages in a secure outdoor environment with comfortable chairs and clean restrooms. Parks on Tap is family (and fido) friendly. Season hours for Parks on Tap at the Water Works location will be Wednesday to Friday, from 5:00pm to 10:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 11:00pm, weather permitting. Parks on Tap at Water Works celebrates Juneteenth on Sunday, June 19th, plus there will be special hours on Monday, June 20th from 5:00pm to 10:00pm in honor of the official City holiday of Juneteenth, and Tuesday, June 21st from 5:00pm to 10:00pm. Pride at the Park: Pride Day at Parks on Tap returns Saturday, June 18th, from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. For 2022, all guests must sign-in prior to entry to access their free seasonal membership. Food and drink are pay-as-you-go. Seating is first come, first served.

Parks on Tap Debuts Two New Waterfront Locations on Schuylkill River This Weekend

Parks on Tap announces that Philadelphia’s famous beer garden that gives back is making moves, announcing two new season-long locations for 2021. The official season opening for both outside the famous Fairmount Water Works (640 Waterworks Drive) and at the all-new South-to-Christian Trails End (entry ramp at South Street and South 27th Street) is set for Thursday, May 6th at 4:00pm. When open, patrons will be able to enjoy sweeping riverfront views, fresh food, beers on tap, wine and non-alcoholic beverages in a secure outdoor environment with comfortable chairs and clean restrooms. Both locations will feature proven health and safety protocols created during Summer 2020, including additional cleaning measures, ability for contact tracing, and other procedures as prescribed by the City of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania.

Parks on Tap Kicks Off 2021 Season with Cherry Blossom Edition Outside Fairmount Horticulture Center

FCM Hospitality announces that Parks on Tap is back for its sixth season with socially distanced blooms, bites and beers just in time for the Cherry Blossoms! Philadelphia’s traveling outdoor beer garden that gives back to city parks will pop-up at two locations outside the Fairmount Horticulture Center Arboretum (100 N. Horticultural Drive) starting on Saturday, April 3rd through on Sunday, April 25th. As in years past, patrons are invited to enjoy fresh food, beers on tap, wine and more set in an outdoor environment with comfortable chairs and clean restrooms. New for this year, Parks on Tap will partner with the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia to present the Shofuso Cherry Blossom Viewing. This new campaign includes three weeks of prime Cherry Blossom viewing, socially distanced activities, virtual programming, and new Japanese-inspired fare. Parks on Tap will also feature products from Two Local’s Brewing, Philadelphia’s first Black-owned brewery, and will offer three weeks of free live performances to celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month.

Bridget Foy's Debuts With Grand Opening On South Street Following Devastating Fire

Bridget Foy and husband Paul Rodriguez, along with parents John and Bernadette Foy, announces the grand opening of the brand new Bridget Foy's at 200 South Street this Friday, February 12th at 4:00pm. Bridget Foy's is one of Philadelphia and South Streets most beloved restaurants that has served the community for decades since the 1970s. The entire restaurant was lost in 2017 during a devastating fire. After three years of demolition, construction, design, pandemic delays, two COVID shut-downs, a giant snow storm, a East Philly Café Pop-up and limited dining capacity, Bridget Foy's is finally ready to return and make its grand debut overlooking one of Philadelphia's most picturesque corners. The new dining room and bar features a show-stopping gold tin ceiling, striking wood and tiled floors, socially distanced seating, 16 oversized windows and doors opening to the sidewalk, advanced ventilation, artwork by Bernadette and Paul, and other touches of nostalgia and Americana with a light, modern and airy twist.

The 30,000 square foot unique indoor space will provide ample opportunity for social distancing. Parks On Tap Traveling Beer Garden Heads To South Philadelphia to FDR Park

Parks on Tap announces that Philadelphia’s famous traveling beer garden is once again on the move - with a new location just in time for fall. Starting this Friday at 4:00pm, Parks on Tap is heading to South Philadelphia to bring a 50,000 square foot beer garden to FDR Park across from the public golf course, at 1500 Pattison Avenue. This new location will offer everything that fans of Parks on Tap have grown to expect, while serving as the perfect compliment for the abundance of activities ranging from relaxation to recreation that FDR Park offers. Patrons will be able to enjoy fresh food, beers on tap, wine and non-alcoholic beverages set in an outdoor environment with comfortable chairs and clean restrooms. Parks on Tap announces that a second summer-long location will make its debut this Wednesday, July 8th outside the famous Water Works (640 Waterworks Drive). The once traveling beer garden that gives back will now operate two stationary locations at the same time for the balance of the summer. The new Waterworks location will offer beautiful and sweeping views of Boathouse Row and the Schuylkill River. When open, patrons will be able to enjoy fresh food, beers on tap, wine and non-alcoholic beverages set in an outdoor environment with comfortable chairs and clean restrooms. Waterworks joins the already operating Parks on Tap outside Fairmount Horticulture Center Arboretum (100 N. Horticultural Drive). The new location will feature the same proven health and safety protocols that have already been launched with the Horticulture Center site, including additional cleaning measures, ability for contact tracing, and other procedures as prescribed by the City of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania.
