Craft Hall and Mainstay Independent Brewing Announce Ten Day Oktoberfest Celebration

Celebrate Oktoberfest at Craft Hall, Philadelphia's largest indoor restaurant! Come out this fall for a special 10 day celebration that will include traditional biergarten decor, Oktoberfest themed menu additions, special fall BBQ specials, beer from Mainstay Independent Brewing, beer steins, and pumpkin decorating ($5 small, $10 large). Mainstay will have plenty of freshly canned Oktoberfest ready for the celebration, prost! Steins are $15.00 with refills only $7.50 during this special event. Attendees can expect free classes, demonstrations, and meet-and-greets to learn more about area business offerings. Steve Singer Jewelers remembers and acknowledges the 20th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks with the release of a special anniversary edition of the 9-11 Never Forget Pin on sale now for only ten dollars. Every dollar from sales of the pin will be donated to The Garden of Reflection, Pennsylvania's official 9-11 memorial. This year's pin is bright silver in color, and it measures an inch by an inch. The design features a special 20th Anniversary red ribbon. This is the last and final year to purchase the pin - and show you honor and remember all that were lost on September 11, 2001. This annual fundraiser originally started in partnership with talk-radio show star Michael Smerconish from SiriusXM/CNN back in 2009. Since then, pin sales have generated over $500,000 for The Garden of Reflection, as well as other charities. The pin is now on sale on the Steven Singer website and it is available in the store.

The 14-day culinary celebration will bring together and showcase the talents of top chefs, restaurants and purveyors in Montgomery, Delaware and Chester counties. Participating restaurants will offer special three-course prix fixe menus for lunch ($24.95, plus tax, beverage and gratuity) and dinner ($36.95, plus tax, beverage and gratuity). Stina BYO Chef Bobby Saritsoglou joins forces with Chef Ari Miller of Musi on Tuesday, June 29th for a four-course collaboration dinner to raise money for The Attic Youth Center - as part of Philly Gay Pride Month and Stina’s Two Year Anniversary. The special menu for one night only includes options, such as Marinated Feta & Charred Lettuces, Fish Kebab Roasted in Fig Leaf. Malted Grain, Red Tahina. Dry-Aged Duck, Mint & Cherry Zhoug and Black Lime Malabi Charred Fruit & Olive Oil. Stickman Brews will also host a pop-up during the event with four beer pairings for each course, for only $10 for 8 ounce pours, or $5 for full-sized a la carte 16 ounce pours. Twenty percent of the evening's sales will go to Stina's June beneficiary, The Attic Youth Center to support programs for Philadelphia’s LGBTQ youth.

Philly AIDS Thrift Hosts Drive-in Movie and Announces Major Expansion

Philly AIDS Thrift invites you to grab your cha-cha heels, clutch your pearls and head to the Philadelphia Navy Yard for a special movie fundraiser at sundown! Philly AIDS Thrift, in collaboration with Philadelphia Film Society, presents a special Philly Gay Pride Month drive-in movie with Female Trouble on Wednesday, June 2nd. The 1974 cult classic by John Waters stars the one and only Divine - and the drive-in event will feature Divine-esque drag queens greeting and thanking all the movie-goers. Proceeds from the event will help raise money for a major building expansion that will include a brand-new donation intake center that means more donations can safely be taken in, producing more sales and even more grants to local nonprofits helping people with HIV/AIDS. Tickets for the drive-in movie are $35 per car, and include access to the movie, food trucks and a chance to win fun door prizes. The drive-in movie lot opens at 8:00pm, with the movie starting at 9:00pm. Female Trouble runs for 89 minutes.

Sofitel Celebrates Philly Pride with Drag Tea, Gay Flag Exhibit, And New Charity Program

Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square, part of AccorHotels, presents a month-long celebration for June as Philadelphia Gay Pride Month. The Sofitel Philadelphia will raise a giant Philadelphia-version of the Gay Pride Flag to hang proudly outside the hotel on 17th Street. Inside, neighbors, guests and visitors are invited to visit the Hall of LGBTQ Flags Exhibition featuring six individual LGBTQ flags flying high above the lobby to celebrate the diversity of the local and hotel LGBTQ community. The raising of the flags coincides with a month-long benefit to support the William Way LGBT Community Center. On Saturdays, June 5th and 12th, Sofitel Philadelphia and Brittany Lynn’s Drag Mafia Present Sofitel's Pride Drag Tea featuring the Sofitel famous tea-service with an entertaining and drag twist. A portion of proceeds from the Drag Tea will go to support the capital campaign and operations at William Way LGBT Community Center. Sofitel is located at 120 S. 17th Street, Philadelphia in the heart of Rittenhouse Square.
