Morgan's Pier Set to Reopen for 10th Season on the Waterfront Starting April 22nd

Philadelphia's largest open-air outdoor restaurant is coming back! FCM Hospitality and owner Avram Hornik announce that Morgan's Pier (221 N. Christopher Columbus Blvd.) will open for the year starting on Thursday, April 22nd at 4:00pm. Now celebrating its tenth season the Delaware River, the region's top al fresco dining destination and tourism hot spot will bring back the summertime vibes, breathtaking views, great food and thirst-quenching drinks to the Waterfront. For this special milestone season, Morgan's Pier welcomes Chef Waldemar (Val) Stryjewski taking the helm in the kitchen with a brand-new menu of returning and new favorites - with an expanded selection of seafood, snacks, small plates, flatbreads sandwiches, sweets and kids' favorites. New dishes include Fried Scallops, Salmon Crudo, Chicken Empanadas, Lobster Roll, Grilled Chicken and Pulled Pork (from the Craft Hall new BBQ menu). Flatbreads made with the famous dough from Lost Bread Co. will include Margherita, Spinach and Chorizo. New for 2021, beyond the new top chef in the kitchen and food items, look for a tenth anniversary cocktail, brand-new boozy popsicles in six flavors and the addition of beer selections from Philadelphia's first-black brewery Two Locals Brewing.

Northern Liberties Business Improvement District, one of the hottest and most notable food neighborhoods in Philadelphia, launches its first-ever Northern Liberties Restaurant Week from Friday, April 9 to Sunday, April 18, 2021. Timed perfectly for the start of nice weather and expanded outdoor dining options, over 20 of the neighborhood's biggest names will offer two course (plus non-alcoholic beverage) lunches for $10 or $15, and three course dinners for $15, $20 and $25. Parks on Tap Kicks Off 2021 Season with Cherry Blossom Edition Outside Fairmount Horticulture Center

FCM Hospitality announces that Parks on Tap is back for its sixth season with socially distanced blooms, bites and beers just in time for the Cherry Blossoms! Philadelphia’s traveling outdoor beer garden that gives back to city parks will pop-up at two locations outside the Fairmount Horticulture Center Arboretum (100 N. Horticultural Drive) starting on Saturday, April 3rd through on Sunday, April 25th. As in years past, patrons are invited to enjoy fresh food, beers on tap, wine and more set in an outdoor environment with comfortable chairs and clean restrooms. New for this year, Parks on Tap will partner with the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia to present the Shofuso Cherry Blossom Viewing. This new campaign includes three weeks of prime Cherry Blossom viewing, socially distanced activities, virtual programming, and new Japanese-inspired fare. Parks on Tap will also feature products from Two Local’s Brewing, Philadelphia’s first Black-owned brewery, and will offer three weeks of free live performances to celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month.

Philadelphia’s First Black-owned Brewery Two Locals Debuts First Beer Releases With FCM Hospitality

Two Locals Brewing Company, Philadelphia’s first Black-owned brewery, announces the launch of its first beer releases starting this week. Under a new relationship with FCM Hospitality and Mainstay Independent Brewing, Two Locals Owners and Brewers Richard and Mengistu Koilorwill bring Nubian Brown Ale (5.7% ABV), Prolific Hazy IPA (6.4% ABV) and Who You Wit? Belgian-style Witbier (5.7% ABV) to the Philadelphia marketplace in 16 ounce cans, four packs and Sixtel kegs. Nubain and Prolific will be available immediately for purchase online through twolocalsbrewing.com or through Craft Hall (901 N. Garces Trading Company Debuts Month-long Paella Madness Celebration With Chef Jose Garces

Garces Trading Company is putting a Spanish foodie twist on March Madness with a new month-long celebration called Paella Madness. Chef Jose Garces has created four crazy and modern twists on the very traditional Spanish dish. Each week look for a new paella to debut, including braised short rib paella, whole roasted trout paella with squid ink bomba rice, acorn squash paella, and whole roasted chicken with fig and pine nut paella. Each featured paella comes complete with a choice of Ensalada Verde or Semplice Salad, plus family-style portions of Beef Sliders, Chicken Brochettes and Octopus & Fingerling Potato Brochettes. Garces fans can host a Paella Party at their homes with either the heat and serve option or the ready-to-eat option. The Sisterly Love Food Fair celebrates Women's History Month with special food fair pop-ups heading to all corners of the region. For four weekends in a row, look for the top local female chefs, restaurateurs and entrepreneurs supporting each other during the pandemic at this one-day outdoor, socially distanced food markets. On Saturday, March 6th, Sisterly Love will head to the Main Line and Philadelphia Suburbs for the very first time. Hosted by Ardmore Initiative and Restaurant Marokko, Sisterly Love will pop-up in Schauffele Plaza in Downtown Ardmore from 12 Noon to 2:00pm with dozens of regional and local vendors, plus entertainment provided by Ardmore Music Hall.
