Philadelphia Zoo’s new open-air air food and drink marketplace debuts just in time for the start of spring and summer seasons. I, guests will find three brand-new food trucks including The Fry Bowl (fried favorites), Root to Leaf (vegetarian-based fare) and Pressed (paninis and wraps). Lancer Hospitality’s Executive Chef Oleg Zelonko has designed an array of delicious options from fresh, delicious sandwiches and custom fries to frequently changing craft beers and vibrant wines.

Azuka Theatre Presents the Philadelphia Premier and New Professional Production of BOB: A Life in Five Acts Feb 27 to March 17, 2019

Azuka Theatre presents the return of the Virginia & Harvey Kimmel New Professionals Production with the Philadelphia Premiere of BOB: A Life in Five Acts by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb. BOB chronicles the highly unusual life of Bob and his lifelong quest to become a "Great Man." The play is a comedic exploration of American mythology and values, the treacherous pursuit of happiness, and discovering what it means to be truly "great." This everyman tale is directed by Michael Osinski, who previously directed Azuka’s Moth. This new professional’s production features the rising talent of Paul Harrold, Sabriaya Shipley, Frank Jimenez, Claris Park and Dan D’Albis. BOB runs from February 27 to March 17, with opening night set for Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 7:00pm.

Restaurateur Shafi Gaffar announces the grand opening of Makhani Modern Indian at 7 N. 3rd Street in Old City this Friday, January 25, 2019. Makhani will become Old City and Historic Philadelphia's only restaurant specializing in elevated Modern Indian cuisine. In the kitchen, Executive Chef Sanjoy Banik will focus on North Indian dishes that are made fresh-to-order and all from scratch. Look for high quality foods that many Indian restaurants don’t work with, such as lobster, scallops, lamb shanks, Chilean sea bass, and the freshest of farm to table ingredients.

University City Launches Philadelphia's Newest Dessert Destination This Friday With the Openings of I-CE-NY Philly and The Creamery Cafe

University City is about to get a little sweeter! Two new dessert concepts will open this Friday (October 19th) at 3818 Chestnut Street. I-CE-NY Philly, the original Thai rolled ice cream in Chinatown Square, will open its second location in Philadelphia. The menu will include Thai rolled ice cream rolls - or smashed ice cream - and include notable Ube and Mango Sticky Rice creations. They will be joined by the world’s debut of The Creamery Cafe and Philadelphia’s debut of freakshakes. In addition to these monstrous morphed milkshake creations, customers will be able to choose from nine flavors of unique and gourmet soft serve ice creams as well. Owner Lisa Taing will give away free Thai rolled ice cream, gourmet soft serve cones and freakshakes during lunch and dinner, between 12:00pm to 2:00pm, and 4:00pm to 6:00pm this Friday. (Choice of one product per person.)
