Auntie Anne's and Evil Genius Beer Company Release New Limited Edition Oktoberfest Lager

Auntie Anne’s®, the world’s largest hand-rolled soft pretzel franchise, and Philadelphia-based Evil Genius Beer Company have teamed up to create a special Oktoberfest-style lager that will be released just in time for the classic beer-centric celebration. The new beer, dubbed Is Butter a Carb?, is an innovative riff on the timeless Oktoberfest beer style; brewed not only with imported German hops and malts, but also with fresh-baked Auntie Anne’s soft pretzels. This is the first time Auntie Anne’s iconic pretzels have been used as an ingredient to develop and create a unique beer available for purchase.

Stoudts Brewing Makes a Comeback, Partners with Evil Genius Beer Company

A Pennsylvania-based craft brewing pioneer is making its triumphant return to the state’s beer scene this fall. Stoudts, one of Pennsylvania’s first craft breweries, closed its doors after more than a 30 year run in 2020. Now, just two years later, the trailblazing brewing company is back, having partnered with Evil Genius Beer Company. Stoudts Oktoberfest, a traditional German-style Lager, returns on August 1st throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region, Northeastern Pennsylvania and Central Pennsylvania. The signature beer's return is timed perfectly for upcoming fall festival and Oktoberfest season.

Brauhaus Schmitz saved their best Oktoberfest for last! Following their largest South Street Oktoberfest in ten years, Doug Hager and the Brauhaus team are back again for the 3rd Annual 23rd Street Armory Oktoberfest, on Friday, October 5 and Saturday, October 6, 2018. Staged in the sprawling 23rd Street Armory, the Armory Oktoberfest includes three sessions, each able to accommodate 1,500 revelers, for one of the biggest beer-drinking events to hit Philadelphia and one of the most authentic Oktoberfest parties in the United States. Tickets are on sale now and include music, dancing, food, drink and much more. Prost!

Brauhaus Schmitz to Transform 23rd Street Armory into Philadelphia's Largest New Oktoberfest

Brauhaus Schmitz will transform the 16,000 square-foot 23rd Street Armory (22 S. 23rd St.) into the likeness of a Munich festival tent for the first annual 23rd Street Armory Oktoberfest on Friday, October 7-9, 2016. Decked out with Bavarian blue and white ceilings, authentic festival tables and benches imported from Germany plus a lofted stage area for musical acts like the Grammy-nominated Alex Meixner Band, Brauhaus will throw the trip-state region’s largest Oktoberfest celebration. Traditional food provided by Chef Jeremy Nolen and beer will be provided by the famous Hofbräuhaus will be served. Tickets are available for each of the five sessions for $45 general admission, or $65 VIP. With the most authentic German dancing, food, entertainment, beer and more this new festival is sure to be as amazing as Munich!
