East Passyunk Hosts New Flavors Street Festival With 27 Award-Winning Restaurants, Live Music, Sidewalk Sales And Free Family Fun

East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District presents Flavors on the Avenue: A Street Festival on Sunday, April 30, 2017, from 12:00pm to 5:00pm. The brand-new street festival will feature five blocks of street food, seasonal sips, craft beer, live music, sidewalk sales and free family fun on five blocks – from Broad to Dickinson streets. Twenty-seven award-winning restaurants and bars will bring their signature cuisine outside under the blue skies. Craft beer and wine will pour from the festival beer tent – and select restaurants will also offer seasonal cocktails, beer and wines for the crowds.

Fuel Center City To Debut Brand New Dining Room, Gives Away Free Smoothies!

Fresh new changes are coming to Fuel Center City at 1225 Walnut Street. Owner Rocco Cima announces that the Midtown Village location of his 500 calorie (or less) cafe will be renovated from top to bottom with new furniture and lighting, the addition of a community table, opened up dining spaces, new artwork and design elements, and an overall colorful new look. Construction and interior work has been under way since earlier last month. Fuel Center City is currently open during the renovations. The new dining room will debut during a relaunch weekend scheduled for April 14, 15 and 16, 2017 - with a different giveaway each day that weekend.

33rd Street Hospitality Announces The Debut Of The Revolution Taco Food Truck - Ready To Roll For Spring Event Season

33rd Street Hospitality Catering is taking the tacos on the road! Chefs Michael Sultan and Carolyn Nguyen announce the debut of the Revolution Taco Food Truck - inspired by their brick and mortar at 2015 Walnut Street. The food truck will feature many customer favorites from the menu at the Rittenhouse Square eatery, along with several food truck exclusives. The truck will also serve as a testing ground for new dishes to be added to the restaurant’s menu. Philadelphia’s newest food truck will make its official debut at three of the spring’s biggest neighborhood food festivals, including StrEAT Food Festival in Manayunk (April 9), Cinco De Mayo at the Piazza at Schmidt's Commons (May 5) and South Street Spring Festival (May 6).

Cinder Taps New Executive Chef, Debuts Happy Hour And New Food Menu

Teddy Sourias of Craft Concepts Group (BRU Craft & Wurst, U-Bahn, Uptown Beer Garden, Finn McCool's Ale House) announces a new chef, new menu and the debut of happy hour at Cinder at 1500 Locust Street. The Rittenhouse neighborhood cider/sour bar and artisan pizza kitchen welcomes Oliver Muguia as the new Executive Chef. Munguia debuts his first menu since taking over the kitchen, with over a dozen new dishes including pale ale mussels, arrabbiata wood-fired pizza, duck spring rolls, mojo shrimp and octopus, cherry and chevre salad and mushroom empanaditas. Six of the new dishes will be featured on Cinder's first-ever happy hour that runs Monday through Friday, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Happy hour specials include $5.00 appetizers, $8.00 mussels, $3.00 off all drafts, $3.00 off all wines by the glass, plus a featured wood-fired pie of the day. Philadelphia Food Influencers and Bartenders Compete in Florida Keys and Key West Cook-Off and Cocktail Competition

The Florida Keys and Key West Cook-Off and Florida Keys Cocktail Competition will bring a touch and taste of the Keys to Philadelphia on Monday, March 6th. Walnut Hill College will serve as the venue for a special cook-off that will feature 24 local food and travel influencers and writers. Instead of snapping, tweeting and blogging they will get on the other side of the stove and cook up two Florida Keys dishes with direction from Chef Bobby Stoky. In conjunction with the cook-off, four Philadelphia bartenders will shake and stir up Florida Keys-inspired cocktails. A winner from each competition wins a trip to the Florida Keys and Key West.
