Teddy Sourias and Craft Concepts Group (BRU Craft & Wurst, U-Bahn, Cinder, Tradesman's) announce the return of Uptown Beer Garden to 1735 JFK Blvd. Starting today at 5:00pm, kegs will start to pour for Uptown's third summer season in the heart of Center City. Changes for the 9,000 square foot outdoor pop-up garden will include three exclusive beers brewed specially for Uptown guests, a new and expanded food menu, two chefs behind the giant outdoor grill, expanded bar service, and a new charity partnership with Mural Arts Philadelphia.

The all-day, all-ages, free outdoor festival and concert will feature a mix of rock, funk, soul, hip hop, indie rock, reggae, R&B and country acts entertaining tens of thousands from three stages and seven performance areas. Historical Society Honors Author, History Advocates and Unveils New Exhibit

On May 3, 2017, The Historical Society of Pennsylvania (HSP) will honor author James McBride with the Founder’s Award, the institution’s most prestigious accolade, in recognition of the National Book Award winner’s exemplary service to the history community. Get ready to travel back in time for your favorite hits starting with Barenaked Ladies on April 22nd, followed by rocker Eddie Money on May 12th, rounded out by rock-powerhouse Starship featuring Mickey Thomas on June 2nd, and finally, find out “Who’s Bad?” with a Michael Jackson tribute on June 16th. The Barenaked Ladies will be in the Event Center and start at 8:00pm, with doors opening at 7:00pm. 33rd Street Hospitality Announces The Debut Of The Revolution Taco Food Truck - Ready To Roll For Spring Event Season

33rd Street Hospitality Catering is taking the tacos on the road! Chefs Michael Sultan and Carolyn Nguyen announce the debut of the Revolution Taco Food Truck - inspired by their brick and mortar at 2015 Walnut Street. The food truck will feature many customer favorites from the menu at the Rittenhouse Square eatery, along with several food truck exclusives. The truck will also serve as a testing ground for new dishes to be added to the restaurant’s menu. Philadelphia’s newest food truck will make its official debut at three of the spring’s biggest neighborhood food festivals, including StrEAT Food Festival in Manayunk (April 9), Cinco De Mayo at the Piazza at Schmidt's Commons (May 5) and South Street Spring Festival (May 6).

Inis Nua Theatre Company Presents American Premiere Of Swallow By Stef Smith April 26 To May 14, 2017

Inis Nua Theatre Company ends the 2016-2017 mainstage season with the American premiere of Swallow by Stef Smith. From Scotland, Swallow follows three lives intricately connected and the quiet, traumatic struggles of being human. Swallow was a 2015 Fringe First Winner and received the Scottish Arts Club Theatre Award. The Scotsman called the play, “An elegant and glowing piece of twenty-first century magic realism.” Swallow opens at the Proscenium Theater at The Drake (302 South Hicks Street) on April 28th, with preview performances on April 26th and 27th.
