Parks On Tap Returns For Fifth Year With New Summer-Long Location in Philadelphia

Parks on Tap is back for its fifth season of supporting Philadelphia’s parks. The traveling outdoor beer garden that gives back will adapt to social distancing rules for the new season by implementing a stationary beer garden in several fixed locations. The first summer-long location will open on Friday, June 12th outside on the grounds of the Fairmount Horticulture Center Arboretum (100 N. Horticultural Drive). It will feature fresh food, beers on tap, wine and non-alcoholic beverages set in an outdoor environment with comfortable chairs and clean restrooms. During the global pandemic, the program will be more important than ever as residents look for hyper-local outdoor options with ample room for social distancing. In order to keep patrons and employees safe, look for a number of new safety measures that will also include additional cleaning measures, ability for contact tracing, and other measures as prescribed by the City of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania.

Teddy Sourias and Craft Concepts Group (BRU Craft & Wurst, U-Bahn, Cinder, Tradesman's) announce the return of Uptown Beer Garden to 1735 JFK Blvd. Starting today at 5:00pm, kegs will start to pour for Uptown's third summer season in the heart of Center City. Changes for the 9,000 square foot outdoor pop-up garden will include three exclusive beers brewed specially for Uptown guests, a new and expanded food menu, two chefs behind the giant outdoor grill, expanded bar service, and a new charity partnership with Mural Arts Philadelphia.

South Street Spring Fest Returns with Eight Blocks of Food, Music, Family Fun and More

South Street Spring Festival returns for a celebration of South Street Headhouse District’s best tastes, sips, sounds and sights. On Saturday, May 3, 2014, from 11:00am to 8:00pm, enjoy a free, all-ages outdoor party that will close down South Street (between Front and 8th), and also run along the 2nd Street Plaza (between South and Lombard). At least 30 restaurants and bars will serve signature and special dishes, brews and cocktails, and sweets and treats. In conjunction with the Festival, Brauhaus Schmitz will host the second annual German Maifest on the 700 block of South Street, with German beers, dancers, music, food, flower headbands and even a May pole. Other festivities will include live music from three main stages and eight other performance areas. Children of all ages will enjoy free fun in the Kids Zone. At least 40 artists, crafters, and retailers will cater to your shopping needs. South Street Spring Festival is free and open to the public.
