Valley Forge Casino Resort (1160 First Avenue) welcomes Canadian rock band Barenaked Ladies to Valley Forge Music Fair on Saturday, April 22, 2017. The band is still together after nearly three decades, producing 14 studio albums which have collectively sold more than 14 million copies, won eight Juno Awards, earned multiple Grammy nominations, a U.S. chart-topping single (“One Week”) and the theme song to one of TV’s most popular shows, “The Big Bang Theory.” Doors open of The Event Center at 7:00pm and the show starts at 8:00pm. Valley Forge Casino Resort rings in 2017 with something for everyone on New Year’s Eve and Day - with festive offerings that include live music, champagne toasts, four course dinner, karaoke party, dance party and open bar, countdowns around the world and a New Year’s Day brunch buffet. Headlining New Year’s Eve festivities will be punk band Sublime with Rome, performing a concert as part of Valley Forge Music Fair. Cinder Now Open, Bringing Ciders, Sours And Artisan Pizza To Rittenhouse Square

Teddy Sourias of Craft Concepts (BRU Craft & Wurst, U-Bahn, Uptown Beer Garden, Finn McCool's Ale House) announces the opening of Cinder today at 1500 Locust Street. The Rittenhouse cider/sour bar and artisanal pizza kitchen features ciders and wild ales on the 32 taps and 70+ bottles. Three bell chef rated Jonathan Petruce and his culinary team will prepare pizzas, mussels, salads and small plates in the open kitchen focusing on local ingredients. Rustic pizza using creative and classical toppings will be prepared in custom-built wood-fired pizza oven. Beer will be poured from full custom design system housed in copper pipes. The bar will also pour 10 wines by the glass and over 20 wines by the bottle. The stylish and sophisticated 2,400 square foot bar and dining room seats 34 on custom built high-tops and 34 on low-tops and banquets, with 16 at the bar.
