East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District presents Flavors on the Avenue: A Street Festival on Sunday, April 30, 2017, from 12:00pm to 5:00pm. The brand-new street festival will feature five blocks of street food, seasonal sips, craft beer, live music, sidewalk sales and free family fun on five blocks – from Broad to Dickinson streets.  Twenty-seven award-winning restaurants and bars will bring their signature cuisine outside under the blue skies.  Craft beer and wine will pour from the festival beer tent – and select restaurants will also offer seasonal cocktails, beer and wines for the crowds.

This expansive and stylish Old Shanghai inspired restaurant, bar and lounge features 6,000 square foot of space and will seat over 225 people in five unique dining spaces. Three talented chefs will show off their expertise in the kitchen with a menu that focuses on two authentic styles of Chinese dim sum (Shanghai and Cantonese), plus fried rice, noodles, chef specialties and familiar Chinese favorites. At the bar, look for a full line of spirits, 19 beers, 10 signature cocktails, and wine by the glass and bottle. Teddy Sourias of Craft Concepts (BRU Craft & Wurst, U-Bahn, Uptown Beer Garden, Finn McCool's Ale House) announces the opening of Cinder today at 1500 Locust Street. The Rittenhouse cider/sour bar and artisanal pizza kitchen features ciders and wild ales on the 32 taps and 70+ bottles. Three bell chef rated Jonathan Petruce and his culinary team will prepare pizzas, mussels, salads and small plates in the open kitchen focusing on local ingredients. Rustic pizza using creative and classical toppings will be prepared in custom-built wood-fired pizza oven. Beer will be poured from full custom design system housed in copper pipes. The bar will also pour 10 wines by the glass and over 20 wines by the bottle. The stylish and sophisticated 2,400 square foot bar and dining room seats 34 on custom built high-tops and 34 on low-tops and banquets, with 16 at the bar.
