After months of viral buzz,  Diner en Blanc will pop-up in Philadelphia on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at a location revealed only minutes before.  Join 3,500 other guests dressed in white for a fairytale evening of food, fashion, dancing, music and magic.  This once-in-a-lifetime event annually celebrates dinner as an artform as guests dine in a unique, unexpected and re-purposed public space.

City of Hope Philadelphia Fights Women's Cancers with 5K Walk

One in three women will be diagnosed with cancer in her lifetime. On Saturday, September 13, 2014, this reality will unite survivors and supporters during the 17th annual Women’s Cancer Walk by City of Hope Philadelphia. Look for a parade of purple and listen for the outpouring of hope as walkers travel from Campbell’s Field  (401 Delaware Ave, Camden), across the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, to the Arch Street Meeting House (320 Arch St, Philadelphia). Registration starts at 8:00am, and the walk starts at 10:00am. Registration is $25 for adults and $15 for children at www.womenscancerwalk.org. Philadelphia FIGHT and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia seek to motivate hundreds of young people to get tested for HIV by offering a free Hip Hop Concert on National HIV Testing Day. Teenagers and young adults aged 13-24 will receive a free ticket to see Grammy nominated Hip Hop recording artist Wale if they get a free HIV test at a variety of participating locations throughout the city on or before June 27, 2014. To date, 1,000+ youth have been tested.
