9th Annual East Passyunk Car Show and Street Festival Returns with 140+ Cars, Food, Circus, Music and More

East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District (EPABID) is revving up for the 9th Annual Car Show and Street Festival on Sunday, July 27, 2014, from Noon to 5:00pm, on EPA between Broad and Dickinson streets.  Over 140 muscle, classic, antique, custom and show cars, trucks and motorcycles will line Avenue, with circus performers, street vendors, rack sales, kids’ activities, live music and the Bang! Boom! CRAFT! Show in between.  Wine and dine among the cars as award-winning restaurants and food trucks serve street food and summertime drinks. Admission is FREE for attendees and $15 for cars. Over 140 muscle, classic, antique, custom and show cars, trucks and motorcycles will line the five blocks between Broad and Dickinson streets. The fee for participating cars is $15 per vehicle. Registration will take place at Broad and EPA between 8:00am and 1:00pm. Space is available on a first come, first served basis. Trophies will be awarded in dozens of categories, including: Top 50, Best Stock, Best Modified, Best Engine, Best Paint, Best 50’s Custom, Best Street Rod, Best Low Rider, Best Truck, Best Motorcycle, and Best of Show Car and Motorcycle.  

“The 9th Annual Car Show and Street Festival is back and bigger than ever with a new layout that will allow for more cars, more food and more family fun,” said EPABID Director Renee Gilinger.  “Families from around the tri-state area flock to the East Passyunk to cruise the cars, enjoy live music on every block and taste authentic South Philly cooking. Don’t forget to look up when you round the corner from Broad and Passyunk - as we have a special high above the cars!”

  • Circus aerials - Look up at performers from Philadelphia School of Circus Arts as they dance and delight in air above East Passyunk at the corner of Passyunk and Juniper (1:00pm to 3:00pm)
  • Tightrope demonstrations - Children are invited to try their hand at walking the ropes with trained professionals (1:30pm to 3:30pm)
