Taproom on 19th and Philly Mobile Food Truck Association Kick Off Spring With South Philly Block Party

Taproom on 19th (2400 S. 19th) and the Philly Mobile Food Truck Association celebrate the return of spring with the second annual “Tappin’ The Trucks, Brews n’ Bites Block Party” on Saturday, April 8, 2017, from Noon to 7:00pm. Five food trucks and five local brewers will pop-up outside of Taproom for an afternoon of brews, bites and live tunes.The taps will be flowing with all craft drafts specially priced at $5.00. All food and drink will be pay-as-you-go, cash only. Children and pets are welcome. 21 and over to drink (with identification).

Cinder Taps New Executive Chef, Debuts Happy Hour And New Food Menu

Teddy Sourias of Craft Concepts Group (BRU Craft & Wurst, U-Bahn, Uptown Beer Garden, Finn McCool's Ale House) announces a new chef, new menu and the debut of happy hour at Cinder at 1500 Locust Street. The Rittenhouse neighborhood cider/sour bar and artisan pizza kitchen welcomes Oliver Muguia as the new Executive Chef. Munguia debuts his first menu since taking over the kitchen, with over a dozen new dishes including pale ale mussels, arrabbiata wood-fired pizza, duck spring rolls, mojo shrimp and octopus, cherry and chevre salad and mushroom empanaditas. Six of the new dishes will be featured on Cinder's first-ever happy hour that runs Monday through Friday, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Happy hour specials include $5.00 appetizers, $8.00 mussels, $3.00 off all drafts, $3.00 off all wines by the glass, plus a featured wood-fired pie of the day. Girl Scout Cookie Inspired Milkshakes Debut At P’unk Burger On East Passyunk

East Passyunk’s organic burger, fries and milkshake shop announces five new limited edition cookie shakes inspired by your favorite Girl Scout cookies. On Saturday, February 18 and Sunday, February 19, P’unk Burger will serve Caramel Delight, Toasted S’mores, Thin Mint, Chocolate PBJ and Cinnamon Shortbread cookie shakes. South Philadelphia’s own Troop #91297 will also be on hand Saturday, from 11:00am to 1:00pm with cookies available for purchase. For every Girl Scout cookie shake purchased, $1.00 will be donated to the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania.

Bru, U-Bahn And Cinder Tap 92 Kegs of Sours, Ciders And Stouts On Pro Bowl Sunday Jan 29th

BRU Craft & Wurst, U-Bahn and Cinder will unleash 92 kegs of rare, fancy and unique drafts on Pro Bowl Sunday, January 29th during Sour Bowl, Stout Bowl and new Cider Bowl. Since Philly Beer Week back in June, Craft Concepts (the group behind the three bars) has been squirreling away hard-to-get keys that include sours, wild ales, funky ciders and tops in imperial IPAs and stouts. Taps start pouring at BRU (1318 Chestnut Street) with Sour Bowl III at 11:00am, followed by Cider Bowl I at Cinder (1500 Locust) at 2:00pm, then crossing back over Broad to Stout Bowl II at U-Bahn (1320 Chestnut) at 4:00pm. At 6:00pm, look for ten bonus kegs to pour back up at BRU with a special Sour Bowl Overtime featuring Russian River. All beers will be specially priced between $7 and $10 (average) and are available first come, first served until kegs kick.
