Bru, U-Bahn And Cinder Tap 92 Kegs of Sours, Ciders And Stouts On Pro Bowl Sunday Jan 29th

BRU Craft & Wurst, U-Bahn and Cinder will unleash 92 kegs of rare, fancy and unique drafts on Pro Bowl Sunday, January 29th during Sour Bowl, Stout Bowl and new Cider Bowl. Since Philly Beer Week back in June, Craft Concepts (the group behind the three bars) has been squirreling away hard-to-get keys that include sours, wild ales, funky ciders and tops in imperial IPAs and stouts. Taps start pouring at BRU (1318 Chestnut Street) with Sour Bowl III at 11:00am, followed by Cider Bowl I at Cinder (1500 Locust) at 2:00pm, then crossing back over Broad to Stout Bowl II at U-Bahn (1320 Chestnut) at 4:00pm. At 6:00pm, look for ten bonus kegs to pour back up at BRU with a special Sour Bowl Overtime featuring Russian River. All beers will be specially priced between $7 and $10 (average) and are available first come, first served until kegs kick. BRU Craft & Wurst (1318 Chestnut St) and U-Bahn (1320 Chestnut St) present an all-star line-up of 46 sours and stouts this Pro BowlSunday, January 31, 2016, kicking off at 11:00am. Sour Bowl II returns to BRU with a full 32-tap takeover featuring 28 sours, including three traditional Belgian lambics and three scarce Russian River sours, plus four IPAs, including Pliny the Elder. Downstairs, U-Bahn presents 14 taps of highly sought-after stouts. No reservations or advance names will be taken. All selections will be specially priced $7-10, and are first come, first served. BRU Craft & Wurst to Open 9,000 Square Foot Uptown Beer Garden Outside the PNY Mellon Bank Building On Wednesday, July 1, 2015

Outdoor sips and eats are coming to the heart of Philadelphia’s business district. BRU Craft & Wurst announces the opening of Uptown Beer Garden at 1735 JFK Boulevard in the courtyard of the PNY Mellon Bank Building on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 4:00pm. The 9,000 square foot summer pop-up will run through September and feature picnic tables, granite benches, tree slab communal tables, outdoor lighting and rustic decor in the tree-lined courtyard. A 35-foot bar will feature a full selection of spirits, select wines, six craft drafts and nearly a dozen craft cans. Signature cocktails will include frozen margaritas, stone fruit and berry red sangria, and peach and apricot white sangria. The on-site kitchen will serve a selection of bar snacks, sliders, sandwiches and even dessert.

U-Bahn Opens Thursday March 5, 2015 in Midtown Village with All Things Local - Food, Beer and Music

Teddy Sourias, owner of BRU Craft & Wurst and Finn McCools, announces the opening of U-Bahn (1320 Chestnut Street) at 4:00pm this Thursday, March 5, 2015. Descend from the streets of Midtown Village into Philadelphia’s new underground stop for all things local - food, beer and music. Eighteen taps will be pouring an all Pennsylvania draft list and draft cocktails. The menu will showcase house-made pickles, cheese boards, old school bar snacks and twists on Philadelphia’s favorite sandwiches. The stage and state-of-the-art sound system will put the spotlight on emerging local talent. Retro arcade games will provide nostalgic fun between trips.

Starting hours will be 4:00pm to 2:00am Sundays through Fridays, and Noon to 2:00am on Saturdays. Live music and DJs will take the stage on select days during opening month. Coasting ahead into spring, live entertainment will be on stage three to five nights per week.
