Sisterly Love Food Fair Heads to Northern Libs, Ardmore, and Cherry Street Pier

The Sisterly Love Food Fair celebrates Women's History Month with special food fair pop-ups heading to all corners of the region. For four weekends in a row, look for the top local female chefs, restaurateurs and entrepreneurs supporting each other during the pandemic at this one-day outdoor, socially distanced food markets. On Saturday, March 6th, Sisterly Love will head to the Main Line and Philadelphia Suburbs for the very first time. Hosted by Ardmore Initiative and Restaurant Marokko, Sisterly Love will pop-up in Schauffele Plaza in Downtown Ardmore from 12 Noon to 2:00pm with dozens of regional and local vendors, plus entertainment provided by Ardmore Music Hall.

Ardmore Celebrates The Holidays With Rally For Restaurants, Tree Lighting, And Santa Claus

Celebrate holidays on the Main Line with a month of festive offerings in Downtown Ardmore starting on Black Friday and running through December 23rd. The downtown business community kicks off the holidays with the Ardmore Holiday Kick-Off and Tree Lighting on Black Friday, November 27th, at 5:00pm. Ardmore Initiative, Ardmore Business Association and sponsor PECO will live stream Santa's arrival and the lighting of the Christmas Tree with special guest Cinderella by A Dash of Magic. The thirty minute program will feature a surprise entrance for Jolly Ole St. Nick himself, songs by everyone's favorite princess Cinderella presented by A Dash of Magic Events, and remarks by local dignitaries. The Holiday Rally for Ardmore Restaurants and Retail will then start on Small Business Saturday, November 28th and run through December 23rd.

Blue Pearl Cafe By Juice Dr. Introduces New Vegan Cafe To Downtown Ardmore

Ardmore Initiative announces the debut of the Main Line's newest plant-based eatery and cafe. Blue Pearl Cafe presented by owner FJ Leto and his company Juice Dr. will grand open this Saturday, August 22nd at 9:00am at 44 Rittenhouse Place. Blue Pearl Cafe will features a menu of plant-based vegan offerings that include breakfast and lunch dishes, coffee, and tea, organic smoothies, cold pressed juices, wellness shots, organic noodles, gluten free grain bowls, salads and more. Signature dishes include Spaghetti and Beetballs, Pad Thai, Walnut Taco Salad, Acai Bowl, Dark Blue Overnight Oats and other tasty dishes. The former eye glass store is 750 square feet inside and features three tables inside with extensive coffee bar seating along the main wall. Most indoor dining, however, is on hold and the cafe has a limited number of people inside to ensure social distancing.

Ardmore's Cricket Cringle Brings Outdoor Pop-Up Holiday Market to the Main Line with Shopping, Music, Food, and Family Fun

Ardmore Initiative will kick-off the holidays with the return of the 5th Annual Cricket Cringle on Friday November 30 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, and Saturday, December 1 from 10:00am to 4:00pm. The Main Line's festive open-air holiday market is a two-day pop-up festival that takes over Cricket Avenue at Lancaster, and features over 40 artists, makers, businesses and restaurants, plus complimentary tote bags, live music, performances, cookie decorating, Santa's arrival, free hot cocoa, live greenery, decorations and tons of holiday cheer. This year, vendors will include a mix of Downtown businesses, local artists and makers, new and long-time restaurants, and popular food trucks. Bring Santa's shopping list for everything from jewelry, housewares, clothing, greens, wreaths, toys and gifts for all ages. Food trucks and food vendors will feature seasonal food and drink menus, including holiday cocktails and seasonal craft beer. Cricket Cringle is free and open to the public. Taste of Ardmore focuses on Ardmore’s vibrant and growing restaurant scene – demonstrating why Ardmore is becoming a true Main Line destination for food lovers. Businesses bringing their best “tastes” include: Iron Hill Brewery, Jack McShea’s of Ardmore, Maido, Marokko, Not Your Average Joe’s, PokéOno, Sam’s Asian Cuisine, The Tasting Room and more. Le Bec Fin Alum Brings A Taste Of Paris To Ardmore With New French Pastry And Chocolate Shop

Brothers Joseph and Antoine Amrani are sweetening up Downtown Ardmore with the opening of French pastry and chocolate shop Delice et Chocolat at 7 Station Road. Ardmore's newest eatery features pastries, danish, cakes and artisan chocolates made on location, along with an espresso bar, smoothies, sandwiches, salads and house-made quiche. Guests can purchase their treats to go, or they can sit and enjoy them inside the French Parisian Bistro-inspired cafe. Delice et Chocolat is open for business Tuesday-Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Sunday from 8:00am to 2:00pm. The space formerly housed Centofanti Master Tailors.

Pala'a Latin American Seafood Opens In Ardmore With Arepas, Patacone, Ceviches, Tartares And Chupe

Ardmore Initiative is pleased to welcome the newest addition to Ardmore’s restaurant scene, Pala’a, a Latin American seafood restaurant. Cira Ferreira, Levi Hernandez, and Ivan Brcek's new BYO is located at 18 West Lancaster Avenue in Ardmore. Pala’a specializes in ceviches, tartares, chupe, arepas and patacone. Sides, housemade juices and desserts are also available. Reflecting the focus on seafood, the dining room is playfully and vibrantly decorated with graphics of azure Venezuelan beaches and brightly colored beach chairs. Order at the front counter and enjoy a cup of papelon, a refreshing lime drink, as you wait for your food. Pala'a is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every Tuesday through Sunday.
