Harry's Ocean Bar and Grille (1025 Beach Ave) is firing up exciting changes in and out of the kitchen for summer of 2022. The ocean-side dining destination and sprawling ocean-side roofdeck, located directly next to The Montreal Beach Resort, is proud to introduce new ownership and a new top chef in the kitchen. As perhaps one of the longest family owned and operated businesses in Cape May, the Montreal Beach Resort and Harry’s Ocean Bar and Grille have finally changed hands after 56 years in business. The new owner is Madison Resorts, a locally owned hospitality management company headed by property operations veteran Dan Alicea, who has previously worked in the local market, as well as led the revitalization of two historic resorts on the east coast. Harry's and Madison Resorts is proud to introduce new Executive Chef Jim Maugeri who now leads the culinary team and has developed a new menu of shore and seafood favorites. Harry's is also proud to introduce one of Cape May's largest seven-day-a-week music and live entertainment programs - both on the famous roof deck and in the restaurant itself. In celebration of Philly Gay Pride Month, FCM Hospitality teams p with the Philadelphia Flyers and Flyers Charities to raise money for four local LGBTQ+ organizations. Cocktails for a Cause will be featured at 11 different locations throughout the city including The Garden at Cherry Street Pier, The Dolphin, Morgan's Pier, Craft Hall, Parks on Tap, Rosy's Taco Bar, Harper's Garden, Lola's Garden, Concourse Dance Bar and Juno. Each property will offer a drink that matches a color of the all-inclusive LGBTQ rainbow flag with $1 from each rainbow drink going towards donations to William Way LGBT Community Center, Attic Youth Center, Philly Asian Queer, and Galaei. Throughout the month of June and as part of the ‘Cocktails for a Cause’ campaign, the Flyers will have their own specialty cocktail, the “Flyers Rowdy ‘Rita,” available exclusively at Liberty Point, with proceeds benefiting local LGBTQ+ organizations. As part of the month-long effort, Flyers Charities will match FCM’s $1 donation up to $10,000 for every Flyers Rowdy ‘Rita sold at Liberty Point during June. The Flyers Rowdy ‘Rita will be a spin on a mango margarita (tequila, triple sec, orange, mango lime) and will be sold at Liberty Point all month long. The first-ever Cocktails for a Cause Pride Party and Kick-Off event will take place on Thursday, June 9 at Liberty Point from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Philadelphia Flyers and Flyers Charities will be on hand with Gritty (6:00pm) and other fun surprises. This is the one and only event that will feature all 11 cocktails, plus Flyers' fun, DJ and other surprises.

Glu Hospitality and Temple University are proud to announce a brand new modern grill and sports bar in the former home of The Draught Horse. The Peabody will make its grand debut this fall at 1431 Cecil B. Moore Avenue, on the west side of Broad Street. The 6,000 square foot space will have 40 seats at the bar and another 150 in the dining area. A large private dining space can hold 50 guests and be split into two for private parties. There will also be outdoor seating on Cecil B. Moore. The menu will feature American cuisine presented by Executive Chef Chino Chang with a wide variety of appetizers, sandwiches, salads, entrees and more. The drink menu will include signature and seasonal cocktails designed by Glu's award winning beverage team that is known for cocktails at Leda and the Swan, Vesper Center City and Figo. For the first time ever, Dim Sum House will head outdoors with a stunning new covered dim sum and cocktail garden that will seat around 100+ guests and 3,000 square feet of space. The indoor and outdoor space combined make this the largest Dim Sum House restaurant to date. From the kitchen, guests will enjoy a menu that focuses on two authentic styles of Chinese dim sum (Shanghai and Cantonese), plus fried rice, noodles, chef specialties and familiar Chinese favorites from the Jiang Nan region of China. Notable favorites include Dim Sum House’s celebrated Pork Soup Dumplings, Dan Dan Noodles, Roast Pork Bao, Peking Duck, Pork Belly & Mustard Greens, Hot and Sour Soup, and Norwegian Whole King Crab done three ways. The menu will feature ample vegan, vegetarian and gluten free offerings. Chef Jose Garces announces Chef Jennifer Zavala as the next Chef in Residency at Volvér on Kimmel Cultural Campus. Chef Zavala's residency will run from March 16 to May 1, 2022. Funding will help city programs benefiting black and brown youth; with a strong focus on access to resources for our communities dealing with gun violence. Currently, Zavala's menu will include Bunuelos y Caviar, Ceviche Verduras, Mexican Broccoli Tortita, Ensalada de Chickpeas, Bacalao y Tamal, Chile Relleno Nueces, “Friendship” Tacos, Mosaic Jello Terrine, and Corn & Honey Sundae. For the new Chefs in Residency Program, each Chef will showcase their top signature dishes on the Volvér menu for four to eight weeks, alongside Chef Garces' signature French-inspired dishes. Through a special donation program in partnership with the Garces Foundation, each Chef in Residency will have the opportunity to raise money to support their work with their current restaurant, or to use for the start of their next culinary journey.
