Glu Hospitality Grand Opens Bagels and Co. in Northern Liberties at The Piazza

Northern Liberties, the years of waiting are over and Philly's hottest food neighborhood finally will get its bagel shop! Glu Hospitality debuts its first-ever breakfast and lunch concept Bagels and Co (1001 N 2nd St) with a grand opening celebration between Friday, June 4 and Sunday, June 13, 2021. Derek Gibbons and Tim Lu, the dynamic duo behind Germantown Garden Grill, Vesper Dayclub, Leda and the Swan, Germantown Garden Grill, Hunnies Crispy Chicken, The Igloos at Germantown Garden and Vesper Center City, are proud to debut a 1,100 square foot breakfast, lunch, coffee and bagel cafe and shop that is modern, clean, simple and stylish, complete with an opening menu filled with over a dozen varieties of Brooklyn-style Bagels, over two dozen inventive, creative and signature cream cheeses and spreads, along with fresh made-to-order sandwiches, salads, baked goods and other goodies. On the coffee side, Bagels and Co. is ready to give the neighborhood a jolt with fresh-brewed coffee in partnership with D’Amico Coffee Roasters.

Philadelphia and Main Line restaurants will close out 2020 with special dinners, feasts, kid-friendly day-time events, brunches and more. Highlights include Garces Trading Company offering food from Amada, The Olde Bar, Village Whiskey, and J.G. Domestic. Grand Opening: Giant Open-Air Steakhouse Takes Over Northern Liberties Pool Club

Glu Hospitality owners Derek Gibbons and Tim Lu announce the grand opening of Northern Liberties' brand-new, open-air steakhouse Germantown Garden Grill this Friday at 5:00pm at 1031 Germantown Avenue. The duo behind Leda and the Swan, Germantown Garden, Vesper Center City and Hunnies Crispy Fried Chicken continue to pivot their hospitality company by transforming Vesper Pool Club into a new outdoor dining destination for the fall season. The culinary team is led by Chef Chino Chang and features Hereford grain fed upper choice steaks, raw bar, burgers and sandwiches, salads, soups and chowders, small plates, and a full dessert menu. At the bar, GG Grill will feature a mix of craft made-to-order and draft batch cocktails, plus a selection of beloved cocktails from Leda and the Swan.

Grand Opening During Covid19: Hospitality Group Pivots from Nightlife to Fried Chicken

Glu Hospitality announces the virtual grand opening of Hunnies Crispy Chicken featuring a full menu of crispy chicken comfort food favorites from Chef Chino Chang. Owners Derek Gibbons and Tim Lu, of Leda and The Swan, Vesper Center City, Vesper Dayclub and Germantown Garden, present their newest food concept that officially launches this weekend on Friday, May 1, 2020. While the nightlife industry is on hold, and their two newest restaurant concepts have had their grand openings postponed, the duo decided to wait no more for their new crispy chicken concept. Hunnies Crispy Chicken will launch this week officially on Grubhub and Door Dash for delivery - as well as for contactless pick-up in Center City. The menu will feature a selection of crispy chicken sandwiches that include Hunnies Crispy, Buffalo, Crispy Caesar and Hunnies Chicken and Waffles. The menu also features Crispy Chicken salads, Crispy Tenders and Wings, Crispy Cauliflower Bites, Fries and other selections. Tofu is also available for all sandwiches as a vegetarian option. All menu items are affordably priced between $3.50 and $10.99. Hunnies will be centered out of the Glu Hospitality kitchen at Vesper, at 223 South Sydenham St.
