Craft Hall and Mainstay Independent Brewing Announce Ten Day Oktoberfest Celebration

Celebrate Oktoberfest at Craft Hall, Philadelphia's largest indoor restaurant! Come out this fall for a special 10 day celebration that will include traditional biergarten decor, Oktoberfest themed menu additions, special fall BBQ specials, beer from Mainstay Independent Brewing, beer steins, and pumpkin decorating ($5 small, $10 large). Mainstay will have plenty of freshly canned Oktoberfest ready for the celebration, prost! Steins are $15.00 with refills only $7.50 during this special event. Bristol Riverside Theatre Presents Uproarious Two-Person Musical Murder For Two

Bristol Riverside Theatre (120 Radcliffe Street) kicks off its 35th Anniversary Season with the hilarious two-person musical murder myster Murder for Two, written by Joe Kinosian (Book and Music) and Kellen Blair (Book and Lyrics). This side-splitting, madcap, quick-change musical is directed by J. Scott Lapp, and features the perfect blend of music, mayhem and murder! In this hilarious 90-minute show, two performers play 13 roles—not to mention the piano—in a witty and winking homage to old-fashioned murder mysteries. For this production, Kinosian himself returns to the stage as the Suspects, with the detective being played by Martin Landry. The show runs September 21 to October 10, 2021, with opening night announced for Thursday, September 23rd at 7:30pm.

Northern Liberties Night Market Set to Debut with Food Trucks, Entertainment & Fun Surprises

2nd Street Festival is proud to announce the launch of the Northern Liberties Night Market Series. This inaugural series of outdoor food festivals is rolling into the single fastest growing neighborhood in Philadelphia on Thursday, September 23rd, from 5:00pm to 10:00pm, on N. 2nd Street between Fairmount and Poplar streets. This new event will take place every spring and fall, and is a pivot and expansion by the operators of the city's 2nd Street Festival, which has been on hold during the pandemic. Co-Producing Directors Amy and Ken Kaissar are delighted to announce their first full season since taking the helm. The curtain will rise again starting with the two-person madcap musical Murder for Two from September 21st to October 10th. Next up, look for Skeleton Crew by award-winning playwright Dominique Morrisseau from November 2nd to November 21st. In winter, BRT presents a mystery between two high school students in Lauren Gunderson’s I and You from January 25th to February 13th.

Philly AIDS Thrift Hosts Drive-in Movie and Announces Major Expansion

Philly AIDS Thrift invites you to grab your cha-cha heels, clutch your pearls and head to the Philadelphia Navy Yard for a special movie fundraiser at sundown! Philly AIDS Thrift, in collaboration with Philadelphia Film Society, presents a special Philly Gay Pride Month drive-in movie with Female Trouble on Wednesday, June 2nd. The 1974 cult classic by John Waters stars the one and only Divine - and the drive-in event will feature Divine-esque drag queens greeting and thanking all the movie-goers. Proceeds from the event will help raise money for a major building expansion that will include a brand-new donation intake center that means more donations can safely be taken in, producing more sales and even more grants to local nonprofits helping people with HIV/AIDS. Tickets for the drive-in movie are $35 per car, and include access to the movie, food trucks and a chance to win fun door prizes. The drive-in movie lot opens at 8:00pm, with the movie starting at 9:00pm. Female Trouble runs for 89 minutes.

Sofitel Celebrates Philly Pride with Drag Tea, Gay Flag Exhibit, And New Charity Program

Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square, part of AccorHotels, presents a month-long celebration for June as Philadelphia Gay Pride Month. The Sofitel Philadelphia will raise a giant Philadelphia-version of the Gay Pride Flag to hang proudly outside the hotel on 17th Street. Inside, neighbors, guests and visitors are invited to visit the Hall of LGBTQ Flags Exhibition featuring six individual LGBTQ flags flying high above the lobby to celebrate the diversity of the local and hotel LGBTQ community. The raising of the flags coincides with a month-long benefit to support the William Way LGBT Community Center. On Saturdays, June 5th and 12th, Sofitel Philadelphia and Brittany Lynn’s Drag Mafia Present Sofitel's Pride Drag Tea featuring the Sofitel famous tea-service with an entertaining and drag twist. A portion of proceeds from the Drag Tea will go to support the capital campaign and operations at William Way LGBT Community Center. Sofitel is located at 120 S. 17th Street, Philadelphia in the heart of Rittenhouse Square.
