Under the El Bazaar Kicks Off for Summer in Fishtown

Fishtown District invites residents and visitors to experience a colorful celebration of creativity, community and local businesses at Under the El Bazaar: Chalk of the Town on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from Noon to 6:00pm, along the 1700 block of North Front Street in Fishtown. This is the first of three in the series for Under the El Bazaar, with the other two scheduled for Saturday, July 18th and August 15th. Each month look for food, drink, live music, outdoor art, vendors, shopping and other surprises.

The tradition of being the tri-state area’s largest outdoor juried art festival - and the largest in Pennsylvania - will continue as Main Street hosts approximately 300 different local and nationally known artists and crafters.

Roxborough Development Corporation and Roxborough Ridge Runners Car Club team up to present a giant day on Ridge Avenue as two of the biggest spring traditions join forces again! Roxborough's marquee celebration of Philly's 250th Anniversary will feature a high-energy, family-friendly, all-day, all-ages celebration that blends classic cars, live music, student creativity, local business showcases, food vendors and community pride. This landmark event anchors the spring season and serves as a cornerstone of Roxborough's annual programming, drawing residents and visitors from across the region. Spring Fest will return to the new footprint for the 2nd time. The festival will take place from Leverington Ave to Fountain Street from 11:00am to 5:00pm, featuring live music across three staging areas, over 70 local artisans, and delicious food from award-winning food trucks and Ridge Avenues eateries. Attendees can sip on craft beverages from Pennsylvania’s own New Ridge Brewing Company and Top Dog Cocktails, all while enjoying an exciting new layout. As part of the citywide Philadelphia 250 celebration, this year’s event will also feature Roxborough as a marquee destination for a special Liberty Bell installation in Pocket Park, adding a historic touch to one of the neighborhood’s most anticipated annual traditions.

Bucks County Star Wars May the 4th Celebration Expands to 4 Days, 60+ Locations

The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce is back with one of the most anticipated events in Bucks County of the year. New Hope will look like a scene from a galaxy far, far away during the return of its annual May the 4th Star Wars-inspired event. This year, the one-day event at a dozen businesses will grow into a giant four-day celebration at a record-breaking 60 businesses, restaurants, bars and other locations. Visitors can move from one storefront to the next, discovering themed cocktails, specialty menus, retail promotions and interactive moments throughout New Hope. Each business brings its own interpretation, creating an experience that feels organic, creative, and constantly evolving as you explore the town.

The all-ages, all-day celebration will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 11:00am to 5:00pm, at 3rd and Poplar, as well as inside and around Liberty Lands. The line-up will feature two stages, live bands, music and dance performances, food trucks, cold cocktails, made-in-Northern Liberties beers, hot dog eating contest, kids’ yoga, neighborhood small businesses, artists and makers, pet portraits, DIY flower bouquets, make-and-take craft station, and many other surprises.

Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce presents the 30th Annual New Hope Arts and Crafts Festival on Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22, 2024. Over 160 curated fine artists, photographers, craftsman and makers will exhibit outside New Hope-Solebury High School with hundreds of works using media such as oil paintings, watercolors, pastels, sculpture, fine and fun jewelry, ceramics, works in wood, fiber, furniture, wearable art, glass art, photography, outsider art and more. Prizes will be awarded this year for Best in Show, Crafts, Fiber, Fine Art, Jewelry, Mixed Media and Photography. Festivities will also include food trucks, live music, children's activities, hands-on demos and much more.

Manayunk Development Corporation announces the 35th Anniversary of the Manayunk Arts Festival on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, 2024. Three hundred exhibiting artists - and thirty emerging artists - will showcase the best in fine arts and crafts from across the country. Hundreds of thousands of collectors, buyers, designers and visitors are expected to flock to historic Main Street for the outdoor, closed street summer festival.

Philadelphia Zoo Lights Up Million Holiday Lights for LumiNature

Philadelphia Zoo’s dazzling winter light show experience is back! LumiNature returns for another season of breathtaking sights, sounds and surprises from Thursday, November 17, 2022 to Saturday, January 7, 2023. With more than a million twinkling lights across 14 one-of-a-kind artistically illuminated zones, LumiNature is sure to wow adults and children alike as they take a magical journey celebrating the wonder of wildlife and the beauty of our planet during the holiday season. Highlights will include a brand new Penguin Prismatic show featuring a 40 ft. tall penguin, plus a new coral and under the sea holiday tree, a new 15 foot tall glowing blue gorilla, 100 ft-long aquarium tunnel, enormous jellyfish, a 21-feet tall brilliant colored snake, hundreds of illuminated penguins, giant cat eyes glowing in the dark of night, a 22-feet-tall Butterfly Tree, a Wilderness Express Train, and a 25-foot tree made entirely of lit flamingo lawn ornaments. LumiNature is a nighttime experience, with timed entrance tickets available every half hour from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. All guests must pre-purchase timed-tickets at philadelphiazoo.org/luminature.
