Pennsylvania’s Largest Arts Festival Returns to Manayunk for Two Days During America 250

Manayunk’s main street

Manayunk Development Corporation is excited to celebrate the 37th Annual Manayunk Arts Festival on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The tradition of being the tri-state area’s largest outdoor juried art festival - and the largest in Pennsylvania - will continue as Main Street hosts approximately 300 different local and nationally known artists and crafters.

This year, the Manayunk Arts Festival is embracing a fresh vibe aimed at younger audiences, with activations like Baby Face Studios student sales, the Emerging Artists tent, and quirky pop-up experiences like the Funk Shop by Lucky’s Last Chance - bringing new energy and a contemporary feel to this historic event.

Art and the Manayunk Arts Festival itself is always evolving, showcasing exciting new artists alongside many longtime favorites that festivalgoers have come to love.

Over 100,000 collectors, buyers, browsers and designers visit Main Street for this iconic event. In addition to art and crafts, visitors can enjoy food and drink vendors, merchant specials, live art demonstrations, and much more.

As Philadelphia gears up to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026, the Manayunk Arts Festival is proud to be part of a landmark year for the city, highlighting the creativity, culture, and community that continue to define Philadelphia today!  This year, in ode to the nation's celebration, over 50 Main Street businesses will be flying 250 Flags all summer.

The Manayunk Arts Festival, organized and operated by the Manayunk Development Corporation, is a no charge event open to the public and will feature artists from eight different disciplines: fiber, glass, ceramics, jewelry, mixed media, painting & drawing, photography, and wood & sculpture. Visitors can also enjoy food and beverages from Manayunk’s renowned restaurants and cool off by shopping at the district’s unique boutiques and stores.

A standout feature of the show is the Emerging Artist Program, which highlights local and up-and-coming talent. This initiative allows young and new artists to begin showing and selling their work. Each artist may participate as an emerging artist for up to three years before being invited to join the main festival. This year, 30 Emerging Artists will be featured on Grape Street, a side street just off Main Street, which will be closed to create a dedicated Emerging Artist area.

Each year, one artist’s work is selected to be featured across marketing materials, including posters, billboards, and digital campaigns. The 2026 featured artist will be Manayunk local, Ryanne Bonde!

The Manayunk Arts Festival is a rain or shine event - dress accordingly!

THIS YEAR'S COVER ARTIST:
Ryanne Bonde is a figurative oil painter and portraitist based in Manayunk, Philadelphia. She moved to the neighborhood for graduate school and has made it her home. She shares a home here with her fiancé, two dogs, and a cat. When she is not in the studio, she can often be found taking her paints out to her favorite spots around Manayunk and the surrounding area, painting the places she returns to again and again. Alongside her painting, she works as a school psychologist, a work that deepens her understanding of human emotion and experience and often informs her paintings. This year's festival lands at a busy and happy moment for her: she and her fiancé head off to get married just two days after it wraps.

The painting selected for this year's poster references Andrew Wyeth's Christina's World and the woman it depicts, Christina Olson, who lived with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. In her work as a school psychologist, Ryanne supported students living with disabilities, and what she wanted with this painting was to offer representation and to sit honestly with the complexity of disability, knowing she was approaching it as someone who does not share that experience. When Ryanne posted the finished painting online to gather opinions, the response was immediate and far beyond anything she expected. It caught the attention of a close friend of Jamie Wyeth, Andrew's son and a remarkable painter in his own right, who invited Ryanne to his home and purchased the painting! She has been humbled by the support this work has found, an experience she never imagined for myself.

LIVE ARTIST ACTIVATIONS:

Paint My Ride- 2026 Tour
Drive Your Story is Carrera’s live 70th anniversary activation, built to bring together art, speed, and self-expression across seven cities. At each stop, two local artists compete live by transforming a vintage Carrera car, turning each event into a city-specific moment tied to the brand’s legacy and culture.

Each city selects one winning artist, and every city winner moves on to the national vote on CarreraWorld.com. The tour builds awareness, drives traffic, and connects the in-person event experience with digital voting, content, and the full Carrera story.

Art. Speed. Self-Expression.

The Carrera Paint My Ride Tour is a live, immersive platform celebrating Carrera's 70th anniversary. Spanning seven cities, each representing a decade of Carrera's legacy, the tour brings the brand's history to life through culture and creativity.

This year, they will have three tents outside the studio. Two tents will feature wheel throwing demos throughout the day with their students showing their skills on the wheel, along with a dedicated kids’ wheel where children can come up and try throwing themselves.
