Philadelphia School of Circus Announces the Grand Opening of Philadelphia's Only Permanent Outdoor Flying Trapeze School

Celebrate your freedom to fly! Philadelphia School of Circus Arts announces the grand opening of Philadelphia Flying Trapeze. Philadelphia's only permanent outdoor flying trapeze school will offer two-hour outdoor flying trapeze lessons at Circus Campus, 6452 Greene Street in West Mt. Airy - conveniently directly next to the Upsal SEPTA Station. The first lessons take flight this weekend as a preview, with the official grand opening set for Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 10:30am.

East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District (EPABID) is revving up for the 13th Annual Car Show and Street Festival presented by Jefferson Health Methodist Hospital on Sunday, July 29, 2018, from 11:00am to 4:00pm, on EPA between Broad and Dickinson streets. Look for nearly 175+ muscle, classic, antique, custom and show cars, trucks and motorcycles will line the Avenue, with street vendors, circus performances, rack sales, kids’ activities, live music and the Bang! Boom! CRAFT! Show in between. Wine and dine among the cars as award-winning restaurants and food trucks serve specially priced street food and summertime drinks. Admission is FREE for attendees and $20 for cars. Check-in for cars is moved up this year to 8:00am to 11:00 am. The event's rain date is Sunday, August 5, 2018. Philadelphia Easter Promenade to Hop Down South Street on Easter Sunday

Hop on down to South Street Headhouse District for some free, egg-citing family fun during the 87th annual Easter Promenade on Sunday, April 1, 2018. Come dressed in Sunday Best and parade down South Street in this grand and popular tradition that is the region's largest event on Easter Sunday. Master of ceremonies Henri David returns to lead the parade from the corner of Passyunk Avenue/South Street down to Headhouse Square (2nd Street) at 12:30pm. Enjoy Easter treats, live music from the Philadelphia Freedom Band, the Bunny Hop, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Cottontail and much more. Bring your camera and stick around to meet the Easter Bunny himself, and see who wins the best dressed contests! The parade itself kicks off at 12:30pm with judging until approximately 2:00pm.

Christmas Village in Philadelphia Announces New Location for 10th Anniversary

Christmas Village in Philadelphia announces its return to LOVE Park for its 10th anniversary. Philadelphia’s largest holiday attraction will be the first event to be held in newly renovated LOVE Park (1500 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102). From Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 23th, 2017) through Christmas Eve (Sunday, December 24th, 2017), Christmas Village will transform LOVE Park into an authentic open-air German Christmas market with holiday sights and sounds featuring thousands of twinkling lights, festive Christmas decorations, live music at the main stage, children’s activities and photos with Santa. The family-oriented construction carnival will take place along Cricket Avenue and on the building site of One Ardmore Place, the 110-unit apartment being built by Dranoff Properties in Ardmore’s vibrant downtown. The Big Dig is the first in a series of community events being rolled out by the business community to spotlight Ardmore as a live, work and play destination.

The Piazza At Schmidt's To Host 2017 Official Draft Party Of The Philadelphia 76ers

The Piazza at Schmidt’s Commons in Northern Liberties will host the 2017 Official Draft Party of the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday, June 22 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fans are invited to watch the 2017 NBA Draft broadcast live on the Piazza’s 400-square-foot HD LED screen. The Sixers hold the third overall pick in addition to four second-round selections. While they watch the draft on the big screen, guests will enjoy appearances by Sixers legends, mascot Franklin, Sixers Dancers and more. The party will also feature a live DJ, trivia contests, vendors, silent auction, and food and drink specials from restaurants within the Piazza. Fans may visit bit.ly/SixersDraftRSVP for free registration instructions and event information. Tickets are limited to 3,000 and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
