Valley Forge Casino Resort Kicks Off 2017 With Comedic Heavyweights Lisa Lampanelli And Artie Lange

Valley Forge Casino Resort (1160 First Avenue) laughs its way into the new year with performances from two comedy giants during Valley Forge Music Fair. New York’s lovable Queen of Mean, Lisa Lampanelli brings her raw brand of comedy to The Venue on Saturday, January 28, 2016 for two shows at 7:00pm and 10:00pm. Howard Stern alum and MadTV’s Artie Lange brings his stand-up act to the Event Center on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 8:00pm. Tickets for Lisa Lampanelli are available on Ticketmaster for $47.50, and tickets for Lange are available on Ticketmaster from $40- $55. Doors to both shows open one hour in advance.

Dim Sum House Announces Grand Opening In University City This Wednesday

Jane Guo and Jackson Fu announce the grand opening of Dim Sum House by Jane G’s at 3939 Chestnut Street in University City this Wednesday, January 11, 2017. This expansive and stylish Old Shanghai inspired restaurant, bar and lounge features 6,000 square foot of space and will seat over 225 people in five unique dining spaces. Three talented chefs will show off their expertise in the kitchen with a menu that focuses on two authentic styles of Chinese dim sum (Shanghai and Cantonese), plus fried rice, noodles, chef specialties and familiar Chinese favorites. At the bar, look for a full line of spirits, 19 beers, 10 signature cocktails, and wine by the glass and bottle. The restaurant is located on the second floor, with the entrance found between 39th and 40th streets on Chestnut.

Valley Forge Casino Resort rings in 2017 with something for everyone on New Year’s Eve and Day - with festive offerings that include live music, champagne toasts, four course dinner, karaoke party, dance party and open bar, countdowns around the world and a New Year’s Day brunch buffet. Headlining New Year’s Eve festivities will be punk band Sublime with Rome, performing a concert as part of Valley Forge Music Fair. Revolution Chop House will serve up a special four-course New Year's Eve menu and Midnight champagne toast. Valley Tavern will offer a special New Year’s Eve menu, then offer a late-night kareoke party. The Vault hosts a New Year’s Eve bash complete with open bar, dancing, live music and a buffet. Center Bar on the casino floor will countdown Midnight around the world ending with a complimentary toast at Midnight. On New Year’s Day, Valley Forge Casino Resort hosts a special New Year’s Day Brunch Buffet with sweet and savory favorites.

Valley Forge Casino Resort has launched an extensive $6 million renovation of its entire Casino Tower, giving a luxurious lift to its hotel rooms and lobby space with tactile materials such as walnut and marble, and tasteful metallic finishes for an earthy, yet elegant vibe. The revitalization is the Tower’s first complete makeover in more than a decade.

Executive Chef Vince Joseph and owner Courtney Dow celebrate the first anniversary of Fine Palate (231 S. 15th Street) with some exciting changes, both in and out of the kitchen. Starting this week, look for a new lounge on the first floor, new weekday lunch service and new fall menu changes on the dinner menu. The duo, known for the first pop-up rooftop sensation Le Bok Fin, opened the global-oriented restaurant and bar in fall of 2015.
