40 Bands to Rock South Street Spring Festival on Saturday, May 7, 2016

South Street Headhouse District announces that 40+ bands will rock the city on Saturday, May 7, 2016 during the 4th Annual South Street Spring Festival. The all-day, all-ages, free outdoor festival and concert will feature a mix of rock, funk, soul, hip hop, indie rock, reggae, R&B and country acts that will entertain an estimated 58,000+ people on three main stages and seven other performance areas on South Street and in Headhouse Square. Headhouse Square will also roll out the green for a special lawn concert with real grass for lounging and dancing in the sun! Festivities are free, with food and drink pay-as-you-go.

South Street Headhouse District announces the return of South Street Spring Festival on Saturday, May 7, 2016, from 11:00AM to 8:00PM. Rock your way into the summer season with a giant, all-ages outdoor block party that will take over the street from South (between Front and 8th) and run along Headhouse Plaza (between South and Pine). The Little Lion Launches Happy Hour in Old City Philadelphia

Palladino's on Passyunk Introduces Saturday Brunch, Bloody Mary Trio and New Fall Dishes

Chef Luke Palladino announces new changes to his weekend brunch at Palladino’s on Passyunk - including Saturday brunch service, five new brunch drinks for $5 and several new brunch dishes. Saturdays and Sundays were meant for sipping on new cocktails that include a new Bloody Mary trio created with fresh seasonal produce (parsnip, pickled tomatillo and long hots) and house-made ingredients. Enjoy a new brunch twist on the “Citywide” with the Caffe Corretto (shot of La Colombe espresso spiked with choice of Sambuca, Strega or Galliano liqueur). Sweet and savory dishes - like Orange-Scented Ricotta Pancakes with Vermont Maple Syrup and Smoked Salmon Bruschetta topped with Poached Eggs – are additions to the menu. Proven-popular brunch dishes remain including Focaccia created with Chef Luke’s innovative toppings. A new fall version features a spicy baked-on sopressata, and each weekend will bring an additional special Focaccia ‘of the week’ made with the freshest, seasonal ingredients. Deen has lost over 40 pounds and will share her favorite recipes lightened up on stage for two demonstrations on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at 1:00pm and 3:00pm. Recipes will come from her soon-to-be-released 15th cookbook, entitled Paula Deen Cuts the Fat. Deen joins over two dozen other top chefs from the region and country including Chef Nicholas Elmi (Top Chef) and Nicole Gaffney (Food Network Star).
