Grand Opening: Giant Open-Air Steakhouse Takes Over Northern Liberties Pool Club

Glu Hospitality owners Derek Gibbons and Tim Lu announce the grand opening of Northern Liberties' brand-new, open-air steakhouse Germantown Garden Grill this Friday at 5:00pm at 1031 Germantown Avenue. The duo behind Leda and the Swan, Germantown Garden, Vesper Center City and Hunnies Crispy Fried Chicken continue to pivot their hospitality company by transforming Vesper Pool Club into a new outdoor dining destination for the fall season. The culinary team is led by Chef Chino Chang and features Hereford grain fed upper choice steaks, raw bar, burgers and sandwiches, salads, soups and chowders, small plates, and a full dessert menu. At the bar, GG Grill will feature a mix of craft made-to-order and draft batch cocktails, plus a selection of beloved cocktails from Leda and the Swan.

Waterfront dining at one of Philadelphia's largest socially distanced outdoor venues will continue into the fall season. Morgan's Pier Fall Fest returns for the sixth season from September 23 to November 1, 2020. Head to the expansive dining destination as it converts into an autumn wonderland - with six more weeks of stunning views, entertainment, fall food and cocktails, seasonal beers and much more. New for 2020, Morgan's Pier Fall Fest for the first time ever in its history will operate fully at seven days a week. Hours once Fall Fest begins (and new times start in Philadelphia/Pennsylvania) will be from Monday to Sunday, from 12pm Noon to last seating at 9:30pm. Hours are subject to change based on local and state guidelines.

Starting this Friday at 4:00pm, Parks on Tap is heading to South Philadelphia to bring a 50,000 square foot beer garden to FDR Park across from the public golf course, at 1500 Pattison Avenue. Parks On Tap Announces New Summer-Long Location at Fairmount Waterworks

Parks on Tap announces that a second summer-long location will make its debut this Wednesday, July 8th outside the famous Water Works (640 Waterworks Drive). The once traveling beer garden that gives back will now operate two stationary locations at the same time for the balance of the summer. The new Waterworks location will offer beautiful and sweeping views of Boathouse Row and the Schuylkill River. When open, patrons will be able to enjoy fresh food, beers on tap, wine and non-alcoholic beverages set in an outdoor environment with comfortable chairs and clean restrooms. Waterworks joins the already operating Parks on Tap outside Fairmount Horticulture Center Arboretum (100 N. Horticultural Drive). Northern Liberties Business Improvement District announces the debut of Easy StrEats on Saturday, July 11, 2020. Between Noon and 8:00pm, North Second Street will be closed to vehicular traffic for one half mile, from Germantown to Spring Garden. Easy StrEats is modeled after the City’s Open Streets program and is not a street festival, but instead is an opportunity for people to spread out and explore Northern Liberties’ restaurants while safely distancing. Glu Hospitality announces the season grand opening of Vesper Dayclub starting this Friday, July 3rd in time for the Independence Day holiday weekend. Philadelphia's only 21 and up swimming pool and outdoor dining oasis will offer local residents the opportunity to enjoy swimming, outdoor sips and poolside eats without having to leave the city boundaries.
