Grand Opening: Giant Open-Air Steakhouse Takes Over Northern Liberties Pool Club

Glu Hospitality owners Derek Gibbons and Tim Lu announce the grand opening of Northern Liberties' brand-new, open-air steakhouse Germantown Garden Grill this Friday at 5:00pm at 1031 Germantown Avenue. The duo behind Leda and the Swan, Germantown Garden, Vesper Center City and Hunnies Crispy Fried Chicken continue to pivot their hospitality company by transforming Vesper Pool Club into a new outdoor dining destination for the fall season. The culinary team is led by Chef Chino Chang and features Hereford grain fed upper choice steaks, raw bar, burgers and sandwiches, salads, soups and chowders, small plates, and a full dessert menu. At the bar, GG Grill will feature a mix of craft made-to-order and draft batch cocktails, plus a selection of beloved cocktails from Leda and the Swan.

Waterfront dining at one of Philadelphia's largest socially distanced outdoor venues will continue into the fall season. Morgan's Pier Fall Fest returns for the sixth season from September 23 to November 1, 2020. Head to the expansive dining destination as it converts into an autumn wonderland - with six more weeks of stunning views, entertainment, fall food and cocktails, seasonal beers and much more. New for 2020, Morgan's Pier Fall Fest for the first time ever in its history will operate fully at seven days a week. Hours once Fall Fest begins (and new times start in Philadelphia/Pennsylvania) will be from Monday to Sunday, from 12pm Noon to last seating at 9:30pm. Hours are subject to change based on local and state guidelines.

Anejo Grand Opens First Location Outside of New York City in Northern Liberties, Philadelphia

Añejo Restaurant Group has come together with Glu Hospitality to bring Añejo to Philadelphia. The acclaimed Mexican restaurant and tequila bar will make its official grand opening debut this Friday, July 31, 2020 at 4:00pm in Northern Liberties at the Piazza, 1001 N. 2nd Street. This new location represents the restaurant's first expansion out of the New York City marketplace, where they also have locations in Hell's Kitchen and TriBeCa. The opening comes after the restaurant was days away from opening in March and which then experienced delays due to stay at home orders and the delay of indoor dining. Now, with an expansive, shaded, and beautiful outdoor parklette and sidewalk cafe ready to enjoy, Añejo will bring Philly its innovative Mexican cuisine, top quality service, and hospitality experience, plus expertise in cocktails and agave spirits. For launch, look for 50+ outdoor seats to start with an additional 35 seats coming in middle August.

Parks On Tap Returns For Fifth Year With New Summer-Long Location in Philadelphia

Parks on Tap is back for its fifth season of supporting Philadelphia’s parks. The traveling outdoor beer garden that gives back will adapt to social distancing rules for the new season by implementing a stationary beer garden in several fixed locations.
