Dim Sum House owners Jane Guo and Jackson Fu announce the grand opening of Xi West Weddings and Private Events at 3939 Chestnut Street, 1st Floor. The mother-son duo are thrilled to debut the city's new Asian and female-owned wedding and special events venue and catering facility where they can now host wedding receptions, micro-weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, baby showers, large group dining, private parties, corporate events and food festivals for up to 350 people. The stunning 6,000 square foot space cost over one million dollars for renovations and took four years to complete, after a two year delay during the pandemic. For event planners and couples, the space brings together modern industrial chic design, an exciting cocktail program and robust coffee service with traditional Chinese menus that range from dim sum offerings to signature rice, noodle dishes and seafood dishes. For higher end weddings seeking something extra special, the menu can include delicacies like Norwegian King Crab three ways. The space has a sleek and modern bar, lounge and cocktail space in the front on Chestnut Street on ground level, with a ballroom and event space through the larger doors, followed by a bridal room and oversized bathrooms. The space can seat up to 225 seated and 350 standing.

Get Frozen In Northern Liberties As Figo Debuts A New Igloo Dining Experience

Glu Hospitality invites you to get frozen in Northern Liberties with the debut of the city's newest and most lavish Igloo experience, plus the return of Princess Brunches at the Igloos, and a brand-new heated cocktail garden. Starting this week, partners Derek Gibbons and Tim Lu bring a new holiday and winter experience to Northern Liberties Restaurant Row with the debut of enchanting and weather-proof sparkling Igloos at Figo Ristorante (1033 N. 2nd Street). The Igloos at Figo are neary 12 feet wide, seat up to eight people, and feature over a hundred clear sustainable panels, a table-top fire pit, festive decor, and a view of the night stars and the new Northern Liberties Christmas Tree. Along with the Igloos, Glu brings back Enchanted in Northern Liberties: Princess Brunches at the Igloos at Figo in partnership and a pivot with A Dash of Magic Events, running every Saturday and Sunday through New Year's Eve. Families can "Igloo-distance" themselves from other families and the Princess, as she goes Igloo to Igloo, and table to table, and interacts and delights young children. Appearances confirmed so far include Cinderella, Beauty Queen (inspired by Belle), Snow Queen (inspired by Frozen/ Elsa) and more! Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market at Dilworth Announces Local Vendors for 2021 Season

The Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market will once again return to Dilworth Park from Saturday, November 20, 2021 to Saturday, January 1, 2022. Dozens of artisans, designers and small businesses from the greater Philadelphia region will offer decorations, fashion and gifts inside white, festively lit tents. Visitors will have the unique chance to shop gifts and products that can’t be found at a usual shopping mall - including artwork, home goods, ornaments, sweets, toys, apparel, jewelry, decorations and more. There will be something for everyone on Santa’s list! The Market will be surrounded by other attractions on Dilworth park like the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink and the Wintergarden and it will be joined by Christmas Village vendors in the City Hall Courtyard and North Apron. Flight On Ice Heads To Delaware County With Festive Outdoor Ice Skating Rink

Flight on Ice is gliding into Delaware County with a giant outdoor ice skating rink and winter village that will pop-up in Newtown Square. Four Philadelphia region business partners and friends are bringing a festive winter village to Delaware County, in an area next to Bonefish Grill, at 4889 West Chester Pike. Flight on Ice will bring with it ice skating, festive lighting and decor, light dining, hot cocoa, special events and lots of outdoor fun. This brand-new, full-sized ice rink will debut just in time for the holiday season, and it will run through at least February of 2022. A Magical Night of Mystery and Deception Debuts at the Speakeasy at Vesper Center City

Vesper Center City announces the debut of Deceptions: A Magical Night of Mystery and Deception featuring the many talents of Mervant the Deceptionist. After pivoting during the pandemic, Mervant has become a top celebrity on AirBnb where he booked over 700 virtual performances. Now, he will take his show live and in-person with help from Glu Hospitality and producers Smoke and Mirrors. This new performance experience will take place in Vesper's hidden speakeasy every Thursday and every Saturday night at 6:30pm, with doors opening at 6:00pm, starting November 18th and 20th. Audiences should come ready to be dazzled with a combination of illusion, deception and mentalism. Seating is intimate and limited to only 40 people at a time, so don’t miss your chance to experience this one-of-a-kind show, unique to downtown Philly. Northern Liberties Business Improvement District announces the return of Artists at Work on Saturday, November 13th, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, as part of 2nd Saturdays Northern Liberties. The final Artists at Work of 2021 is the biggest yet. Twelve businesses throughout Northern Liberties will host live artist demonstrations in their space. Creativity will flow in many forms, including live music, drawing, painting, mixed media collage and calligraphy. Art lovers and shoppers can use QR code at each location to follow a Google map showing each location and artist details. Artists at Work is free and open to the public.
