Bridget Foy Announces Grand Opening of Cry Baby Pasta in Queen Village

Restaurateurs Bridget Foy and husband Paul Rodriguez announce the grand opening of Cry Baby Pasta at 4:00pm today, at 627 S. 3rd Street. Cry Baby Pasta will mark the couple's much-anticipated return to the Philadelphia restaurant scene following the tragic fire that destroyed the original family restaurant named after Bridget at 2nd and South in 2017. While waiting for Bridget Foy's to be rebuilt (with tentative opening this fall) the couple decided to open their first restaurant together - something the couple has dreamed about doing for many years while working with their parents John and Bernadette at Bridget Foy's. Cry Baby Pasta will offer a casual, warm and playful atmosphere with a menu focusing on Italian fare prepared by husband-and-wife team chefs David Gilberg and Carla Goncalves. At the bar look for a deep wine program offering smartly priced wines by the glass an bottle, plus a full bar with craft beer, cocktails and spirits. Opening hours are seven days a week with bar opening daily at 4:00pm and dining room opening at 5:00pm daily. Look for dinner service to start with possible lunch and brunch to follow later. Happy hour will launch in mid winter.

Mary Dougherty of Nicole Miller to Kick-Off Exclusive New Monthly Dine & Dish Series at The Bercy in Ardmore

Mary Dougherty, the owner of Nicole Miller boutiques in Philadelphia, will be the inaugural speaker at the debut of Dine & Dish - a new monthly dinner series presented by Realtor and tastemaker Michelle Leonard, and hosted at The Bercy in Ardmore. The series will kick-off on Monday, January 28th with Dougherty sharing stories about her success in building her fashion empire. The evening's festivities begin at 5:30pm with a “meet and greet” reception, and dinner will then run through 8:30pm.

The Bercy in Ardmore Hosts First-Ever Children's Tea in Paris Featuring the Nutcracker by the PA Academy of Ballet

The Bercy (7 Lancaster Avenue) celebrates their first holiday season in Ardmore and on the Main Line with a very special new tradition for families. On Saturday, December 22, 2018, The Bercy will partner with The Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet for the first Children's Tea in Paris, from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. Families are invited to enjoy a special tea service seating on the upper Mezzanine with traditional finger sandwiches, pastries and fresh-baked offerings from The Bercy's own kitchen. Following tea and sandwiches, participants will enjoy selections from the Nutcracker by the Academy, followed by special make-your-own take-away gift bags.

Teddy Sourias and Craft Concepts Group announce the season grand opening of Tinsel Christmas Pop-up Bar at 116 S. 12th Street, Philadelphia. The mad elves from Tradesman's, BRU Craft & Wurst, Cinder Copper & Lace, U-Bahn, Uptown Beer Garden, Kontrol and Finn McCool's Ale House have spent months decking the halls to bring this holiday sensation back with an even bigger space, extended hours, more days, extra twinkle, added glitter, festive holiday tunes and more. New surprises include music playlist curated with help from Mr. Christmas himself, DJ Robert Drake from XPN, and a custom take-home Tinsel soup can with cocktail to benefit MANNA. The holiday-themed cocktail and craft beer bar will grand open on Thursday, December 6, 2018 and run through New Year's Day. Ardmore's Cricket Cringle Brings Outdoor Pop-Up Holiday Market to the Main Line with Shopping, Music, Food, and Family Fun

Ardmore Initiative will kick-off the holidays with the return of the 5th Annual Cricket Cringle on Friday November 30 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, and Saturday, December 1 from 10:00am to 4:00pm. The Main Line's festive open-air holiday market is a two-day pop-up festival that takes over Cricket Avenue at Lancaster, and features over 40 artists, makers, businesses and restaurants, plus complimentary tote bags, live music, performances, cookie decorating, Santa's arrival, free hot cocoa, live greenery, decorations and tons of holiday cheer. This year, vendors will include a mix of Downtown businesses, local artists and makers, new and long-time restaurants, and popular food trucks. Puyero Venezuelan Flavor Debuts New Holiday Additions with Hallacas for Sharing with the Family, Plus New Cooking Classes to Make Them at Home!

Puyero Venezuelan Flavor (524 S 4th St) invites you to come and unwrap tasty new dishes just in the time for the Christmas season. Between November 13 and December 30, look for the addition of three varieties of hallacas (Venezuelan tamales beautifully wrapped in green plantain leaves) and Pan de jamón (Venezuelan Christmas bread). Additionally, Andres-style hot chocolate has now been added to the menu until the end of winter. hallacas are available individually or in larger quantities for holiday gatherings. On top of the holiday offerings to enjoy for dine-in, take-out or delivery, guests can take part in the Venezuelan tradition by learning how to make hallacas for themselves. Puyero will debut three Venezuelan Cooking Classes: Holiday Edition where guests will taste and make hallacas with owner Manuela Villasmil on November 14, November 28 and December 5, 2018.
