At the Jersey Shore in Cape May, Harry’s Ocean Bar & Grille will open outdoor seating for the summer on Cinco and Mother's Day Weekend and offer $5 specials for the 5th of May.

Hawthorne Beer Café (738 S. 11th Street) is reviving its storied beer-centric block party, and adding booze and bubbly to the mix. Hawthornes Beer, Booze and Bubbly Block Party will take over 11th Street (from Fitzwater to Catherine) on Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 11:00am to 7:00pm. The usual lineup of parked cars will be replaced with craft beer trucks, big sound bands, and street food eats. Look for $6 local and craft brew pours from your favorites like La Cabra, Conshohocken, Tröegs, Victory, Flying Fish, Yards, Two Roads and more. Food trucks will include French Toast Bites by Lokal Artisan Foods, The Little Scillian, Korea Taqueria, Cloud Cups, Jammin J's, Barkley's BBQ and others to be announced. The music line-up will include The Mini Q's, The Sermon, Snacktime and DJ Adrian Hardy. This all-day, all-ages event is rain or shine. Admission is free and open to the public. Riverbend Environmental Education Center Celebrates Earth Day and Reopens Snider Barn and Aquaponics Greenhouse

Celebrate Spring and Earth Week at Riverbend Environmental Education Center with a special Earth Day Open House and Tree Planting - and the grand reopening and relaunch of their unique Aquaponics Greenhouse and the Snider Barn. Starting on Thursday, April 21, 2022, Riverbend will open the Snider Barn again to school groups after being closed due to the pandemic. Riverbend will also relaunch the Aquaponics Greenhouse, where aquaculture (raising fish in a controlled environment) and hydroponics (growing plants without soil) come together in this unique hand-on laboratory. On Saturday, April 23, 2022, Riverbend will host an Earth Day Open House and Tree Planting from 10:00am to Noon. The family-friendly event is $25 per family and includes a guided tour, a visit to the Aquaponics Greenhouse, time with Riverbend’s Animal Ambassadors, a hike up Valley View Trail and the tree planting itself. Riverbend also is open for spring and summer for exploration of the trails, bird watching, and celebrating nature and the great outdoors. More than 5,000 native species of plants are located on the preserve, and 107 species of birds have been spotted on the grounds. Riverbend's 30-acre nature preserve is located at 1950 Spring Mill Rd., in Gladwyne, PA. The outdoor preserve, trails and outdoor amenities are open 365 days a year from dawn to dusk daily.

One of Philadelphia's largest spring festivals is back after a pandemic break and ready to take over Trenton Avenue from Norris Street to Frankford Avenue. The fourteenth year for this event will feature over 100+ local vendors, artists, musicians, food and drink, performers - and a parade of homemade vehicles. Derby competitors are encouraged to wear costumes and make it to the finish line in their human-powered vehicles and floats. Over 15,000 people are expected to come out and cheer them on along the three mile obstacle course that stretches through East Kensington and Fishtown. Mud, bubbles and other obstacles along the route will be presented by some of the District's biggest names, including Johnny Brenda's, Philadelphia Brewing Co., and Kensington Community Food Co-Op.
