Celebrate Year of Tiger with Chinese and Lunar New Year at Dim Sum House, The Fin and Hello Vietnam

Celebrate the Year of the Tiger with three Asian-owned businesses below celebrating Chinese New Year and/or Lunar New Year. Celebrations start as early as January 30 and run through mid-February. In University City and Rittenhouse, two of the largest Chinese restaurants, bars, lounges and event spaces in the city present a special menu of food and drink, plus two events with firecrackers, decorations and the traditional lion dance. Dim Sum House by Jane G's will celebrate starting January 30th through February 13th, with special events on February 5th. In Fishtown, The Fin celebrates its first-ever Lunar New Year and Lantern Festival on Valentine's Day Monday, February 14, 2022 with a special menu, an extensive list of special cocktails, a chance for prizes through the golden ticket cocktail, lanterns and decor and more. In Northern Liberties, Hello Vietnam presents complimentary tea, plus a free new themed appetizer, "Lucky Golden 'Tons" with every order .

Get Frozen In Northern Liberties As Figo Debuts A New Igloo Dining Experience

Glu Hospitality invites you to get frozen in Northern Liberties with the debut of the city's newest and most lavish Igloo experience, plus the return of Princess Brunches at the Igloos, and a brand-new heated cocktail garden. Starting this week, partners Derek Gibbons and Tim Lu bring a new holiday and winter experience to Northern Liberties Restaurant Row with the debut of enchanting and weather-proof sparkling Igloos at Figo Ristorante (1033 N. 2nd Street). The Igloos at Figo are neary 12 feet wide, seat up to eight people, and feature over a hundred clear sustainable panels, a table-top fire pit, festive decor, and a view of the night stars and the new Northern Liberties Christmas Tree. Along with the Igloos, Glu brings back Enchanted in Northern Liberties: Princess Brunches at the Igloos at Figo in partnership and a pivot with A Dash of Magic Events, running every Saturday and Sunday through New Year's Eve. Families can "Igloo-distance" themselves from other families and the Princess, as she goes Igloo to Igloo, and table to table, and interacts and delights young children. Appearances confirmed so far include Cinderella, Beauty Queen (inspired by Belle), Snow Queen (inspired by Frozen/ Elsa) and more! Figo and Glu also announce a brand-new outdoor winterized Holiday Cocktail Garden with heated, covered indoor-outdoor seating for up to 50 guests, which is great for private parties as well as nightly dining.

Philadelphia Restaurant Guide To Thanksgiving Dinner

Leave the cooking to Aversa PR's client restaurants for this Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving dinner is less than a month away, and our clients are cooking up a feast to keep you out of the kitchen and giving you more time to spend with family. This is one of the single largest days and weeks for some of our clients - and holiday meals and meal kits have been a huge saviour during these pandemic times for some of the restaurants. For our early list for Thanksgiving please find menus below for Garces Trading Company, Chez Colet at Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square, Bridget Foy's, Positano Coast, El Camino Real, Hudson Table, Sophie's BBQ, Fork, Panorama. Northern Liberties Presents Hound-O-Ween Pet Costume Contest and Festival to Help Street Tails

Philadelphia's largest Halloween pet costume contest is back - and cuter than ever! Northern Liberties Business Improvement District partners with Street Tails Animal Rescue on the 7th Annual Hound-O-Ween Fall Festival and Doggie Costume Contest. The event is back in person and moves to the intersection of Laurel and N. 2nd Street, on Sunday, October 31st, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. This year, to ensure proper health and safety protocols, 40 of the region's most festively decked out pets are invited to strut across the stage. Contestants will compete for prizes in four categories for prizes, plus all pets will compete for the grand prize of $500, sponsored by Wilson’s Estate Jewelry. Registration for this annual benefit is only a $30 donation per pet. All proceeds benefit Street Tails Animal Rescue in their mission to help homeless and unwanted animals in the Philadelphia area.

Figo Ristorante and Figo Pizzeria to Debut in Northern Liberties by Glu Hospitality

Glu Hospitality and partners Derek Gibbons and Tim Lu announce the grand opening of Figo Ristorante and Figo Pizzeria this Friday, October 15th at 1033 N. 2nd Street. The two side-by-side restaurants will debut in the heart of the Northern Liberties Restaurant Row, in the former home of Darling's Diner and Wahlburgers, next to the Piazza. When opened, Figo will be the largest restaurant in the Northern Liberties Business Improvement District, offering nearly 10,000 square feet of space and 250+ seats. Figo Ristorante will be a full service restaurant, kitchen, bar and outdoor patio offering Italian cuisine by Chef Hee "Chino" Chang, with craft cocktails, espresso martini flights, Italian soda flights, two dozen taps, and over two dozen wines by the glass, bottle and flight. Opening services will include dinner, indoor dining, outdoor dining, delivery and take-out, with late night, happy hour and brunch service to be launched later in the fall. Next door, at the North end of the property, Figo Pizzeria will offer pizza pies and stuffed hoagies with lunch, mid-day and dinner service, with cafe seating outside and take-out/pick-up and delivery.
