Weekend Top Events: Free Pizza, First Friday, Fantasy Hair and Flying Trapeze
/After a very busy October, we're happy to say goodbye to all things spooky and haunted and welcome new events and menus for November. Enjoy these top weekend picks from our clients City of Hope, Fly School Circus Arts, Nick's Roast Beef in Old City, Sassafras, Serrano and SliCE.
TGIF today with "Freebie Friday" and free pizza samples at Rittenhouse (1740 Sansom Street, 215-557-9299), South Philadelphia and Italian Market (1180 S. 10th Street,
215-463-0868) and Washington Township (137 Egg Harbor Road, 856-302-5099). Taste-test new signature pies in-store from Noon through 7:00 PM while supplies last. New flavors debuting today include: Pear and Goat Pizza (Baked Pears, caramelized onions and goat cheese finished with candied walnuts and fresh spinach) and Truffled Egg Pizza (Fontina cheese, artichoke, with fresh egg baked on top and finished with white truffle oil).
Tonight, spend a cozy evening in Old City District with First Friday at Nick's Roast Beef, Sassafras and Serrano. Nick's in Old City features acoustic sounds of Mike Brill in the dining room. Sassafras serves up delicious fall brews and libations including Big Gruesome Peanut Butter Stout and five new seasonal cocktails, including an infusion with roasted sugar pumpkins. Serrano tempts your sweet tooth with a special Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée.
Tomorrow, don't miss the battle on the runway as top salon present big, bold and crazy hair during City of Hope's Universal Warriors: Fantasy Hair Competition at Voyeur Nightclub starting at 8:00 PM. Ten dollar cover donation goes to City of Hope to support the everyday warriors in the trenches battling cancer, HIV/AIDS and other livfe threatening diseases.
