Philadelphia restaurants are shaking and stirring up drink and food specials to celebrate National Tequila Day on Saturday, July 24, 2021. Whether you like them straight up, on the rocks or frozen, there are features, specials and deep deals for every palate and expertise level. Head to Philadelphia’s new taco and tequila capital in Northern Liberties on and around N. 2nd Street for deals and features at Añejo Philly, SET NoLibs, El Camino, Germantown Garden and Vesper Dayclub. In other corners of the city, look for specials at Buena Onda, Juno and Rosy’s Taco Bar. Añejo Philly will host a special party that combines National Tequila Day with the restaurant’s one year anniversary, featuring specialty cocktails, drink deals, tequila tastings, swag and more. Garces will serve up half price margaritas at Buena Onda including Baja, Frozen, Classic or a Frozen Seasonal style. SET NoLibs feature pineapple patron anejo cocktails and Patron Blanco for special prices. Germantown Garden and Vesper Dayclub will be pouring special cocktails for $12, plus marg pitcher discounts. Rosy’s Taco Bar will feature tequila flights with Blanco, Repo and Anejo and house-made Verdita. El Camino Real will feature half off all margarita pitchers from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, and feature tropical margaritas in fresh pineapples for only $15. Juno offers ten dollar flavored margaritas - and the option to add Watermelon Red Bull on top for only $2.00. Reservations are now available for all restaurants listed above. Añejo Philly turns one on National Tequila Day! Come out for a double celebration from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at one of Philadelphia’s newest and most celebrated Mexican restaurants in Northern Liberties’ restaurant row. In honor of the Anniversary and National Tequila Day, Añejo will set up their outdoor bar with a tequila and cocktail tasting station. Additionally, Añejo serves up discounts on featured tequilas, including Milagro, Corralejo, Los Arango and Tequila Ocho. From the kitchen, look for features including Pork Belly Tostada, Cheeseburger Fundido, Tuna Ceviche, Duck Enchiladas, Churros and at least nine kinds of tacos. There will be complimentary swag given away during the event. Reservations suggested.

Rosy’s Taco Bar will be featuring tequila flights and a special tequila infused menu for National Tequila Day. For flights, each will contain a 1oz pour of Blanco, Repo & Anejo and a 2oz shot of their house made verdita (a refreshing shot that you take before drinking tequila, featuring cucumber, jalapenos, cilantro, mint & pineapple). The flight options are Espolon for $12, Cazadores for $15, El Tesoro for $20, Patron for $21, and Mezcal for $22. In addition, Rosy’s Barrel Select Patron Margarita will be available for $11 in a glass or a pitcher for $55.

From the kitchen, look for a tequila infused menu, including: Tinga de Pollo Empanadas(2) $9 (Shredded Lettuce, Queso Fresco, Sour Cream, Spicy Tomato Tequila Sauce), Tacos de Pescado $12 (Tequila Tempura, Shaved Cabbage, Chipotle Mayo, Mango Pico de Gallo, Corn Tortilla), and Fajitas - Choice of Tequila Marinated Chicken ($18) or Shrimp ($22) (Served with Sautéed Peppers, Onions and Mushrooms, Flour Tortillas, Guacamole, Sour Cream).

Rosy's Taco Bar, which houses more than 20 tequila selections, also has its own tequila barrel select with Patron. The team behind Rosy's beverage program goes through an extensive tasting to pick the best barrel of aged tequila to reflect Rosy and it's guests.
