Changes for the 9,000 square foot outdoor pop-up garden will include three exclusive beers brewed specially for Uptown guests, a new and expanded food menu, two chefs behind the giant outdoor grill, expanded bar service, and a new charity partnership with Mural Arts Philadelphia.

Changes for the 9,000 square foot space will include additional seating, expanded bar space and party access to the BNY Mellon Wealth atrium. The most notable change, however, will be in the kitchen as acclaimed three bell rated Chef Jonathan Petruce takes over the new outdoor grill for the summer to fire up elevated barbecue and street food favorites like Spanish Octopus, Turkish Chicken and Chimichurri Beef Skewers, plus Grilled Mexicorn, Lobster Roll, Sausage/ Peppers and more.

20 Restaurants Go Grill to Grill in Dog Days of Summer Cook-Off by South Street Headhouse District

Twenty of the region’s top restaurants and food trucks will go grill-to-grill in the summer’s ultimate hot-dog competition. South Street Headhouse District, in conjunction with Hot Diggity!, will host the 3rd Annual Dog Days of Summer Cook-Off on Saturday, July 19, 2014, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, under the historic Headhouse Square Shambles (400 Block of South 2nd Street between Lombard and Pine).  Sample the most flavorful, unique and inventive hot dogs while enjoying craft beer, live music, an amateur toppings contest and other summertime fun. VIP passes are $30 and include early access at Noon, a VIP gift and 20 food/drink tickets. General admission is free, with food/drink tickets costing 4/$10 and 15/$30.
