Old City District presents Old City Fest on Sunday, October 7, 2018, from 11:00am to 6:00pm, along N. 3rd Street (from Market to Race) and Arch Street (from 2nd to 4th). Activities will include a festival stage with live music, runway fashion shows, a family fun zone, pop-up street performances and a wide array of food, beverages, art, craft and retail shopping, with 100+ Old City vendors participating. Philadelphia Theatre Company Kicks Off 44th Season with Pennsylvania Premiere of Lynn Nottage's Sweat→

Philadelphia Theatre Company kicks off the 2018-2019 season with the Pennsylvania premiere of Lynn Nottage’s Sweat. This Pulitzer Prize for Drama winner explores Reading, Pennsylvania’s shrinking industrial economy and shares the fear, tragedy and hopefulness of a community on the verge of inevitable change. The production will kick-off the first produced season under new Producing Artistic Director Paige Price. Justin Emeka makes his Philadelphia debut directing a cast filled with local stars and Barrymore Award winners who have extensive theatre, film and television credits. Sweat will run from October 12 to November 4, 2018 at Philadelphia Theatre Company’s stage at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, 480 S. Broad Street. Opening Night is Wednesday, October 17th at 7:00pm. Inis Nua Theatre Company Presents The Monster in the Hall By David Greig October 3 to 21, 2018

Inis Nua Theatre Company will open its 15th anniversary season with the Philadelphia premiere of The Monster in the Hall, written by Scottish playwright David Greig. This funny musical play about family, love and really big motorcycles is the second production Inis Nua will stage by Greig, following the company’s 2014 breakout hit Midsummer [a play with songs]. Midsummer went on to earn four Barrymore Award nominations. Monster will be directed by Claire Moyer and stars Claris Park, Doug Durlacher, Eleni Delopoulos and Jamison Foreman. Previews run October 3 and 4, with Opening Night set for October 5, 2018. The show runs until October 21 for a total of 15 performances. All performances will take place at the Louis Bluver Theatre at the Drake, 302 S Hicks Street in Philadelphia. Philadelphia Theatre Company Announces New Season with Sweat, Bridges of Madison County and How to Catch Creation

Philadelphia Theatre Company is ready to take off into the future. The company announced its first produced season under its new leadership team, Producing Artistic Director Paige Price and Managing Director Emily Zeck, to an audience in the theatre’s space in the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, 480 S. Broad St. PTC announced that this inaugural season under new leadership includes a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Lynn Nottage that takes place in Pennsylvania, a World Premiere from the 2017 Kilroys List, and a TONY-winning Jason Robert Brown musical set in the Midwest during the 60s based on a popular bestselling novel. Philadelphia Artists' Collective Partner with Woodland's Cemetery for Haunting Play Among the Graves with Mary Rose

The Philadelphia Artists' Collective returns to the Philadelphia FringeArts Festival with a hauntingly beautiful site-specific work by the famous author of Peter Pan. Mary Rose, by J.M. Berrie, will be presented both inside the historic and ornate mansion - and outside under the stars in the cemetery itself. The show runs for a total of 12 performances through September 22, 2018.

Stats on 17th Brings Ultimate Sports Bar and Nightclub to Rittenhouse Square

Philadelphia's new ultimate sports bar and nightclub Stats on 17th announces its grand opening in Rittenhouse this weekend in time for Eagles season. Doors will officially open to the public on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 4:00pm. Grand opening festivities all weekend will include a viewing party for the Eagles home opener against the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night, with kick-off at 8:20pm. Friday and Saturday night will feature the areas top DJs and entertainment at 10:00pm. East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District (EPABID) is revving up for the 13th Annual Car Show and Street Festival presented by Jefferson Health Methodist Hospital on Sunday, July 29, 2018, from 11:00am to 4:00pm, on EPA between Broad and Dickinson streets. Look for nearly 175+ muscle, classic, antique, custom and show cars, trucks and motorcycles will line the Avenue, with street vendors, circus performances, rack sales, kids’ activities, live music and the Bang! Boom! CRAFT! Show in between. Wine and dine among the cars as award-winning restaurants and food trucks serve specially priced street food and summertime drinks. East Passyunk's Top Restaurants Take to the Streets for Flavors on the Avenue Festival

East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District presents Flavors on the Avenue street festival on Sunday, April 29, 2018, from 11:00am to 5:00pm. The city’s first big restaurant festival of the spring will feature five blocks of street food, seasonal sips, craft beer, live music, sidewalk sales and free family fun – from Broad to Dickinson streets. Over twenty-four award-winning restaurants, cafes and bars will bring their signature cuisine outside under the blue skies. Craft beer, signature cocktails and wine will pour from select restaurants out on the street, as well as inside the new Founders Brewing Co. Tasting Tent. East Passyunk Flavors on the Avenue is free to attend and open to all ages. Food will be specially priced between $3.00 and $6.00 (average) and be pay-as-you-go from individual restaurants.

Fuel Restaurants in Philadelphia Debuts Facial Recognition Kiosks, New Menu, Under Ten Dollar Pricing

FUEL (http://fuelrechargeyourself.com) announces exciting changes that will make for a faster, fresher and healthier dining experience - all for under $10! Starting this week, Fuellocations (University City, Center City, East Passyunk) will debut 17 new menu additions with all options now being priced for $10 or less. With these additions comes faster service, fresher ingredients and innovative dishes; including the debut of acai bowls, a Tahini smoothie, Toast Boxes, and special menu items by celebrity chef Brian Duffy (of Bar Rescue). Facial recognition ordering kiosks are now installed at the University City and Center City FUEL locations, allowing customers quicker ordering which is key during busy lunch rushes. The kiosks will use facial recognition to identify customers and pull up past orders, allow for credit card ordering and provide visual images of all dishes in one swipe.
