Steven Singer Jewelers Launches Helping Paw Charity Necklace to Benefit PAWS

Steven Singer Jewelers has teamed up with Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) to support their work in finding Philadelphia homeless pets their forever homes. The man everyone loves to hate is doing good again this holiday season by pledging to donate twenty-percent of all sales of the exclusive Helping Paw necklace to PAWS for their life-saving efforts. Singer donated $10,000 this week from early sales with a pledge to keep raising money for PAWS until December 31, 2021. Continuing to raise money for PAWS until the end of the year - and through the busy shopping season - was something that is near and dear to Singer's heart. Singer is an animal lover and adopted Buddy, his own four-legged friend, from a rescue shelter. Singer also recognized that during the pandemic dogs and furry friends helped many people through the darkest times of the last year. The Helping Paw necklace is currently on sale online and at the store. Shipping for Helping Paw is free and fast! For more information visit www.ihatestevensinger.com or call 215-627-3242.

"My own dog Buddy helped me get through some difficult times during the pandemic, and I know that is true for a lot of people we know," said SInger. "Organizations like PAWS do such amazing work in our community, and we have been proud to support them for several years. With the pandemic, finding forever homes for them has never been more important. They are our family and I don't know how we would live without them."

For owner Steven Singer, giving back has always been part of how he has operated his business. Singer and his family have had a soft spot and a love of dogs - and they adopted their own dog Buddy from a local rescue group. Singer has supported PAWS for several years, and this week presented PAWS with a check for ten thousand dollars. Singer also pledged to keep raising money through the holiday shopping season and continue to donate through December 31st. This includes all orders in person and over the internet.

For Helping Paw, the necklace features a silver paw print outline that interlocks with a diamond heart to symbolize the bond between pets and human hearts. Singer's designers expertly set 1/20 carat of beautiful diamonds for maximum sparkle against the high polished, shiny silver. Each necklace comes affixed on a sturdy sterling silver chain. Each order comes with a special Signature Steven Singer complimentary gift box, plus fast and free shipping.

"Helping Paw is a sterling silver and diamond necklace specially designed to remind us of the special bonds we create with animals by letting them into our hearts," said Singer. "So many pets have helped people through the pandemic. For the pet mom in your life, send her something that will honor her furry friend each and every day. They make great gifts for the holidays or for any occasion."

Helping Paw retails currently for $128.00. Twenty-percent of necklace sales will be donated to PAWS. PAWS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving Philadelphia’s homeless and at-risk pets. PAWS is the city’s largest rescue partner and provider of affordable, basic veterinary care for pet owners and rescue organizations that cannot otherwise access it. Each year, PAWS finds loving homes for thousands of animals in need, and enables thousands of families to keep their cherished pets. PAWS is working to make Philadelphia a no-kill city where every savable pet is guaranteed a home

PAWS' comprehensive rescue and prevention efforts include pulling at-risk animals out of the city’s shelter and placing them in loving adoptive and foster homes, giving struggling pet owners the help they need to keep their pets as cherished family members rather than face abandonment, and preventing the birth of unwanted litters. Each year, through its three locations, PAWS serves more than 30,000 pets in need.

"We are so grateful to be partnering with Steven Singer again in 2021," said PAWS Executive Director Melissa Levy. "Since 2019, our friends at Steven Singer have been supporting our lifesaving mission, helping us rescue and care for Philadelphia’s homeless pets. Working with Steven Singer means that we are able to continue saving and serving the pets and people who need us most. A huge thank you to our friends at Steven Singer for helping make our historic progress possible, and for continuing to enable our lifesaving work!"

The Helping Paw fundraising campaign comes at a critical time for PAWS, as PAWS postponed their 15th Birthday Bash fundraising event due to the pandemic. While the event was postponed, the need is still critical to support the organization. In the group's 15 years, PAWS has helped lead a transformation in Philadelphia, which is now on the brink of becoming a no-kill city.

PAWS’ Birthday Bash would have been the group's biggest fundraiser of the year, replacing Chefs' Night. As a result, PAWS pivoted from a fall event to an outright fundraising drive because there is still SO much to celebrate, and lifesaving funds are needed now. This is one of several reasons Singer has pledged to continue to raise money for PAWS through the end of the year.

Singer added, "We are honored to help PAWS as they celebrate 15 years in our community," said Singer. "I hope everyone will join with us and support them during this critical time. While they aren't able to host their special fundraiser for their 15th anniversary, we can all step up and do our part to help bridge the gap so they have resources needed to carry on their important work."
