VIBE AND DECOR

P'unk Burger’s design serves as a modern day tribute to shake and burger joints from yesteryear. The new open and airy dining room was home to the former Chhaya Cafe that moved to 1819 East Passyunk. Interior and exterior highlights include:

* Green and grey horizontal stripes line the dining room walls
* Green grass carpets add texture to P’unk Pasture (the arcade area in front), which also features cow print ceilings and game stools for two people
* Signage and decor features reclaimed woods and salvaged metals from Brewerytown
* Tabletop arcade game features 50+ games including Burger Time, Donkey Kong, Pac Man, Ms Pacman, Gala, Dig Dug and more
* Front entrance gates were restored and refinished
* Gooseneck lighting, a P’unk Burger awning, new shingles and other decorative features adorn the front of the building
* Oversized community table was made from recycled white pine barn shingles

GREEN ELEMENTS

Beef served is from humanely-raised, grass-fed cows that are antibiotic, pesticide and hormone-free.  Seafood is wild-caught. Sodas are natural and fair trade. Ice cream is locally sourced.

Cups and take-out containers are made from plant-based biodegradable plastics that use renewable resources (sugar cane, plant materials). They are not made from oil like traditional plastics.

P’unk will also recycle fryer oil, use natural and organic hand-soap in the bathroom and serve soda delivered on trucks that run off of old fryer oil.
