Puyero Venezuelan Flavor Celebrates Grand Opening With Free Arepas and Churros

Simon A. Arends, Gil J. Arends and Manuela Villasmil announce the grand opening of Puyero Venezuelan Flavor at 524 S. 4th Street in South Street Headhouse District. This casual Venezuelan street food concept specializes in quick-serve arepas, patacones, and other incredibly delicious food. Dishes pair perfectly with tropical specialty drinks made in-house that are sweet and perfect for Philadelphia's hot summer days. The dining room is fresh, colorful and vibrant with humorous proverbs that will make you laugh and music that will make you want to tap your feet. Grand opening festivities will include free giveaways between March 17-19th including arepas, churros and other signature Latin dishes.

South Street Spring Festival Announces Restaurants, Philly Taco Eating Contest and Maifest

South Street Headhouse District serves up the best tastes and sips of the city during South Street Spring Festival, on Saturday, May 7, 2016, from 11:00am to 8:00pm. Philadelphia’s largest annual spring block party announces 30+ restaurants, bars, bakeries and food trucks that will fill the 12 blocks of South Street and surrounding streets. Brauhaus Schmitz will return with Maifest on the 700 block with with German beers, dancers, music, food, flower crowns and even a Maypole. The giant all-ages outdoor party will also include a new Philly Taco eating contest featuring a Jim’s Steaks cheesesteak wrapped in a giant slice of Lorenzo & Sons pizza. New Restaurant: Me N Mo Meatballs and More Now Open on South Street with Meatballs, Pasta, Desserts, Bar and Catering

Me N Mo Meatballs and More is now open at 214 South Street with hand-rolled meatballs, house-made pasta and tasty sauces made with high-quality, fresh and local ingredients. Enjoy up to eight meatball and sauce varieties daily that include beef and spicy meat sauce, vegetarian and pesto, lamb and rosemary red wine reduction, and chicken with sauce a la vodka. Pick your own meatball and sauce combination, or let chef suggest his favorite pairing. At the bar, enjoy a selection of wine by the glass and bottle, plus sangria, bottled beer and a selection of spirits.
